Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 4" x 5" of bees, flowers, and leaves on light brown background design from Heart & Home 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3" x 3-3/4" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 2-7/8" x 3-5/8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-1/8" x 2-7/8" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 1" x 2-7/8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Insert the Bumblebee rectangle into the Hive 3D Embossing Folder. Use the line printed on the front flap of the folder to make sure it is lined up straight. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Pick out the large, stitched triangle die that cuts out a triangle that is 4-7/8" long across the flat bottom from the Stitched Triangles Dies. Put it on top of the vertical Heart & Home Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the point at the top of the triangle is pointing down and is centered side to side and the flat bottom of the triangle is just off the upper edge of the designer paper. Make sure the bees are oriented correctly. Run through the machine. Keep all the pieces and leave the die out.
Put the large, stitched triangle die back on top of the vertical Heart & Home Designer Paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the point at the top of the triangle is pointing up and is centered side to side and the flat bottom of the triangle is just off the lower edge of the designer paper. Make sure the bees are oriented correctly. Run through the machine.
Note: You are using the two triangles you cut out of the designer paper on this project. Recycle the rest of the designer paper or keep it to use on another project.
Adhere the two triangles to the top and bottom of the dry embossed Bumblebee rectangle so they are centered over the top and bottom ends of the Bumblebee rectangle. Make sure the bees are oriented correctly. Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut off excess designer paper on all edges.
Adhere the layered designer paper/Bumblebee rectangle to the front of the Cinnamon Cider card.
Mount the single, large dandelion on a stem with two leaves image from the Garden Wishes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vertical 1-3/4" x 4" vanilla rectangle.
Pick out the matching, open single dandelion die from the Dandy Wishes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped dandelion image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Place the dandelion cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Bumblebee Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub color onto the dandelion seed puff on the top of the cut out. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Rub a different Sponge Dauber across the open Garden Green Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub color onto the dandelion stem and leaves on the cut out. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Mount the small bee image from the Garden Wishes Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small vanilla square.
Pick out the matching, small bee die from the Dandy Wishes Dies. Put it on top of the stamped bee image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Place the bee cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Rub the Sponge Dauber used for the Bumblebee Ink across the open Bumblebee Ink Pad to get it inky again. Rub color onto the body of the bee on the bottom of the cut out. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Gently squeeze the Wink Of Stella Glitter Brush to get a little ink on the brush tip. Paint in the wings of the bee cut out.
WITHOUT ADHERING, lay the colored dandelion cut out and bee cut out on the vertical 2-7/8" x 3-5/8" vanilla rectangle so the bottom of the dandelion stem is in the lower left corner and the dandelion seed puff is angled toward the center and the bee is in the upper right corner.
Mount the grouping of floating dandelion seeds image from the Garden Wishes Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Bumblebee Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the right of the dandelion seed puff and just below the bee.
Mount the "wishing you all the best" or "made with love for a true friend" sentiment from the Garden Wishes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Bumblebee Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining, horizontal vanilla rectangle so it is closer to the right side.
Adhere the stamped sentiment strip to the center of the thin Garden Green strip. The right and left edges will be even.
Adhere the matted sentiment strip to the bottom of the stamped dandelion seeds vertical vanilla rectangle about 1/4" from the bottom. The left and right edges will be even.
Adhere the stamped dandelion seeds vertical vanilla rectangle with sentiment strip attached to the center of the Garden Green rectangle.
Adhere the matted vanilla rectangle to the center of the card front.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored dandelion cut out to the front of the card so the stem is in the bottom left corner of the matted vanilla rectangle.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored bee cut out to the front of the card so it is in the upper right corner of the matted vanilla rectangle.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Very Vanilla 3/8" Scalloped Lace Trim.
Tie a half knot in the center of the lace trim. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the lace trim knot to the front of the card at a slight angle so it is centered over the bottom of the dandelion stem.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large gem from the sheet of Gilded Gems making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the dandelion seed puff at the top of the cut out.
