T his card fold is so much fun! It's not hard and it's such a shocker when you open it! Plus, it stands up to display.
Project Recipe
Cut Real Red 12X12 cardstock at 4 inches X 12 inches. Use your simply scored tool to score the lines shown. If you have the diagonal plate, insert it and score the diagonals as shown. If you don't have the diagonal plate, then make a mark at 6" on both top and bottom of the card and put it in your personal cutter and use scoring blade to score between the marks as shown on pattern.
If you are unable to view the attached layout in step 1,
You will be scoring along the 12" side at 2", 4", 8", 10". Plus you will put a little mark with a pencil or score blade at 6" mark on both the top and bottom but be sure not to score the whole length.
Now, you will do the scoring with the diagonal plate from the 2" line, down to the bottom 6" mark, and then from the 6" mark down to the bottom 10" mark...
or using your personal cutter, place on cutting line with both the top 2" mark and the bottom 6" mark on the cutting line and score (not cut). Then put on the top 6" mark and score to the bottom 10" mark.
Turn your card around 180 deg. to the other 12" side and repeat step 3.
Then do mountain folds on all diagonal lines and valley folds on all horizontal lines, using your bone folder to crease folds well. This will then give you the feel for how the card will fold in onto itself and create the diamond in the center
