P unny card great for an anniversary or a good friend using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and vellum pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3" x 4" from Vellum Cardstock
- 3" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 1" wide
As you are ready to stamp on each piece of cardstock using the Fruit Basket Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. If you will be stamping off the edge of the cardstock, place a piece of scratch paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the tiny heart image from the Fruit Basket Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad and stamp it randomly in the upper right corner on the front of the Lemon Lime Twist card. Stamp it one or two times on the left edge as well about 2" up from the bottom. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Tip: Be very careful when cleaning this little stamp with the Stampin' Scrub. If you scrub too hard, the stamp can come off the block and go flying! Since it is photopolymer and completely clear, it can be very difficult to find!
Place the vellum rectangle into the Oh My Stars Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Put a 1-1/2" strip of SNAIL on the back of the dry embossed vellum on what will be the right edge when turned over about 1" from the top. Adhere the vellum to the front of the card about 5/8" from the top and 7/8" from the right side.
Mount the "we make a great pair" sentiment on Block H. Carefully ink up only the words "we make a" by pressing it onto the open Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment just below center in the middle of the white square. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist, but leave it on the block.
Rub your finger over the sentiment to make sure it is clean and dry. Then, carefully ink up only the words "great pair" by pressing it onto the open Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment so it is centered under the previously stamped words on the white square. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist, rub your finger across it to make sure it is clean and dry, and put the stamp away.
Pick out the stitched circle framelit from the Stitched Shapes Framelits that cuts out a 2-7/16" circle. Place the stamped white square on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the stitched circle framelit on top so the words are centered side to side but just below center top to bottom. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use SNAIL to adhere the stamped circle to the card front so it is about 1/2" from the top of the vellum with about 1/4" hanging over the right side of the vellum.
Mount the solid pear bottom image from the Fruit Basket Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad and stamp it on the scrap of Whisper White Cardstock so the pear is pointing up. Leave room to stamp the stem at the top and leave room to stamp another pear to the side. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub, but leave it on the block.
Tip: Be very careful when cleaning this little stamp with the Stampin' Scrub. If you scrub too hard, the stamp can come off the block and go flying! Since it is photopolymer and completely clear, it can be very difficult to find!
Re-ink the solid pear bottom image with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad and stamp it on the scrap of Whisper White Cardstock so the pear is pointing up. Leave room to stamp the stem at the top. Clean the stamp with the Stampin' Mist and Stampin' Scrub and put it away.
Tip: Be very careful when cleaning this little stamp with the Stampin' Scrub. If you scrub too hard, the stamp can come off the block and go flying! Since it is photopolymer and completely clear, it can be very difficult to find!
Mount the pear stem image from the Fruit Basket Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad and stamp it on the top of one of the previously stamped pears. Re-ink the stamp and stamp on top of the other pear.
Tip: Be very careful when cleaning this little stamp with the Stampin' Scrub. If you scrub too hard, the stamp can come off the block and go flying! Since it is photopolymer and completely clear, it can be very difficult to find!
Unlock the pear punch from the Itty Bitty Fruit Punch Pack. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped pears into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Repeat with the other pear image.
Adhere the green pear to the center of the circle over the words at a slight angle using a Mini Glue Dot.
Adhere the yellow pear to the center of the circle at a slight angle so it overlaps the right side of the green pear a bit using a Mini Stampin' Dimensional.
Cut a 3" piece of Lemon Lime Twist 1/4" Ombre Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the middle. Trim the ends. Adhere to the lower right of the sentiment circle at an angle using a Mini Glue Dot.
Carefully remove 5 yellow sequins from a sheet of Tutti-frutti Adhesive-Backed Sequins making sure you get the adhesive as well as the sequin. Adhere them randomly to the card front.
