F un birthday 3" x 3" note card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock at 3" x 6" and scored at 3"
- 2-3/4" square from Pool Party Cardstock
- 3/4" x 2-3/4" from Always Artichoke Cardstock
- large cup full of succulents image roughly cut from Just Add Color Specialty Designer Series Paper
Place the Always Artichoke strip on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image when you stamp.
Mount the "happy birthday to you!" sentiment from the Fruit Basket Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it along the very bottom of the Always Artichoke strip.
Place the roughly cut out cup full of succulents image from the Just Add Color Designer Paper on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Color the image with the Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Use the So Saffron Marker on most of the cup.
Use the Crushed Curry Marker on the stripes on the cup.
Use the Sahara Sand Marker on the sand in the cup.
Use the Crumb Cake Marker to add some dark spots to the sand in the cup.
Use the Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, and Always Artichoke Markers to color in the succulents.
Use the Lemon Lime Twist Marker to color in the spiky grass.
Use the Crushed Curry and So Saffron Markers to color in the tiny leaves.
Color the background of the image where you don't want to fussy cut with the Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends Marker. The marker has a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas.
Carefully cut out the cup full of succulents close to the printed lines using Paper Snips.
Use SNAIL and Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the cup full of succulents cut out to the front of the card just above the sentiment.
Pick out a Lemon Lime Twist bow from the 2017-2019 In Color Bitty Bows. Peel the protective backing from the adhesive dimensional on the back of the bow. Adhere the bow at a slight angle to the rim of the cup on the right side.
