Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Berry Burst or Daffodil Delight Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pretty Peacock or Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of purple and blue brushstrokes or yellow, orange, and green brushstrokes on white background design from Full Of Life 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the brushstrokes are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 2-1/4" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Full Of Life Designer Paper to the Pretty Peacock or Pumpkin Pie rectangle.
Cut a 6" piece of the Iridescent 1/2" Striped Trim.
Lay the ribbon horizontally across the layered cardstock/designer paper rectangle so it is about 1-1/4" from the bottom. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the cardstock rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Berry Burst or Daffodil Delight card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Friends For Life Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large block letter "best" word from the Friends For Life Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Berry Burst or Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal white rectangle.
Note: If you are making multiple cards of different colors, remember to clean the stamp between colors.
Mount the script "wishes" word from the Friends For Life Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock or Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it on the horizontal white rectangle just below and to the right of the previously stamped "best" word so the "h" in "wishes" slightly overlaps the bottom right side of the "t" in "best."
Note: If you are making multiple cards of different colors, remember to clean the stamp between colors.
Pick out the die from the Countryside Corners Dies that cuts out a label that is 1-7/8" x 3-3/8". Put it on top of the stamped sentiments on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiments. Run through the machine
Adhere the sentiment label cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the ribbon and is about 5/8" from the left side.
Cut a 4" piece of the Iridescent 1/2" Striped Trim.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front just to the right of the sentiment label. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 Melon Mambo discs from a sheet of Iridescent Adhesive-Backed Discs or 1 small and 2 large Lemon Lolly sequins from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Shiny Sequins making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown.
