Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and Adhesive Sheets pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- 3-1/4" x 4-3/4" of tightly packed flowers in various shades of purple with green stems and leaves design from Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, cut so the stems are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 2" x 4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 4" of mottled blue green design from Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper
- 2 pieces each 1-7/8" x 3-7/8" from Adhesive Sheets
- 1" x 3-3/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
Insert the Gorgeous Grape rectangle into the Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed Gorgeous Grape rectangle to the front of the Highland Heather card.
Pick out the rectangle die that cuts out a rectangle that is 3" x 4-1/4" from the Deckled Rectangles Dies. Put it on top of the purple flowers Perennial Lavender rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Run through the machine.
Adhere the designer paper rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered.
Peel the protective backing off of one of the Adhesive Sheets rectangles. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to the back of the white rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now. Peel the protective backing off of the other Adhesive Sheets rectangle. Adhere the Adhesive Sheets rectangle to the back of the mottled blue-green designer paper rectangle. Be sure to leave the other protective backing in place for now.
Pick out the large, detailed leaf die from the Friends For Life Dies. Put it on top of the designer paper rectangle on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the designer paper side is face up. Run through the machine. Use the paper-piercing tool on the Take Your Pick to remove the pieces. Repeat with the white rectangle making sure the adhesive side is down.
Tip: Save the large rectangle of designer paper with the leaf shape cut out of the center to use on another project.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the large, detailed white leaf cut out. Adhere it to the front of the card as shown so the top leaf is near the upper right corner of the designer paper rectangle.
Carefully remove the protective backing from the back of the large, detailed designer paper leaf cut out. Adhere it to the front of the card as shown so it is slightly offset from the white leaf cut out.
Unlock the Happy Labels Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Highland Heather strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the smaller scallops) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat on the other side.
As you are ready to stamp using the Friends For Life Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large block letter "best" word from the Friends For Life Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the horizontal punched strip about 3/8" from the right edge.
Cut a 7" piece of the Iridescent 1/2" Striped Trim.
Wrap the ribbon around the stamped and punched sentiment strip about 3/8" from the left side. Tie in place with a knot. Trim the ends.
Adhere the sentiment strip with ribbon attached to the bottom of the designer paper rectangle so it covers the bottoms of the stems and is centered side to side and is about 1/4" from the bottom of the designer paper rectangle.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 small and 2 large Clear dots from a sheet of Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive-Backed Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown.
