I would not have thought to pair Copper Clay card stock with a floral paper until I saw this paper from Fresh As A Daisy. The Exposed Brick embossing folder added another layer of texture to the card.
Project Recipe
Card Base: Cut Copper Clay 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Pretty Peacock paper 4 X 5 ¼.
Card Front: Cut print from Fresh As A Daisy paper pack 3 ⅞ X 5 ⅛. Attach the Daisy print card front to the Pretty Peacock mat. Emboss these papers with the Exposed Brick embossing folder.
Use the Stylish Shape Dies to cut a circle of Basic White for your sentiment and the next size larger circle of Basic Vellum. Stamp sentiment with Pretty Peacock ink on the white circle. I used a sentiment from the “Lighting The Way” stamp set. Attach the stamped circle to the Vellum circle with dimensionals.
Cut 5” of Copper Clay textured ribbon and attach to the card front. I used tear & tape on the back of the ribbon, my ribbon is 1 ¼ from the bottom of the card front. Attach the vellum/stamped circle over the ribbon. Add 3 Copper Clay embellishments to the stamped circle.
Attach card front to the card base.
Card Insert: For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Basic White 4 X 5 ¼. Cut a piece of print paper used on the front of your card ½ X 4. Attach to the top of the card insert. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card. I stamped a sentiment with Pretty Peacock ink from the Layering Leaves stamp set.
Envelope Flap: Cut print paper 2 ¼ X 6. Glue the print paper to the envelope flap and trim using the flap as a guide.
