A fun card to make and give using the Freezin' Fun Stamps and a fancy fold.
Project Recipe
Pretty Peacock Card Base - 4 1/4 X 11"; score at 2 3/4" and 7"
Small card base - cut Pretty Peacock Cardstock 3 1/4" X 6 1/2", score at 3 1/4"
Cut Whisper White: Cut 2 pieces 3" X 3"; cut 1 piece 4 1/8" X 5 3/8" for the inside.
6 X 6" DSP, cut the bottom off at 5 3/8".
Cut 3 sections - (all are 5 3/8" in height) 2 5/8", 2", the remaining section will be 1 3/8".
Snow or background Designer Series Paper - cut one piece to 1 3/8" x 5 3/8" and another piece 3" x 3".
Time to stamp: lots of scrap whisper white cardstock. Using Tuxedo Black Memento Ink stamp the bunny on skis, the penguin, the raccoon on the sled, the seal (or is it a sea lion?), one frozen pond, one large tree, one small tree, and 3 snowball stacks. Stamp two trees onto the inside piece.
Stamp a sentiment onto the top of one 3 X 3 square and the other sentiment on the second one, towards the bottom.
Color all the bits and pieces (animals, trees, etc.) using your Stampin' Blend. Have fun choosing colors! I used Pretty Peacock light for the green sections of the trees and Wink of Stella on the snow covered sections.
Cut out the pieces using dies, plus cut two snow covered hills, one going up, the other down, these will be layered on the small card.
Adhere DSP to your card - the 2 5/8" section goes onto the front left side of your cardbase.
The 2" section goes onto the inside of this piece, centered, the third section, 1 3/8" goes onto the inside of the right hand piece.
With background Designer Series Paper, adhere to the right side front of card.
The 3 X 3 piece goes on the front of the small card (remember, it opens opposite of normal cards - the fold is on the right so it opens on the left.
Build small card front - adhere the 3" X 3" background designer series paper. Layer the snow covered hills with the one going downhill in the front.
Using dimensionals adhere the skiing bunny to the hill and the small tree. DO NOT put the snowball stacks on now.
Finish up the inside of the card - adhere the stamped (with sentiment) 3 X 3" pieces on the inside, one on each side.
Adhere the sledding raccoon on one side, I chose the left side and the seal (or sea lion?) onto the right side - he looks great sitting on the ice.
Adhere the small card to the right side of the front on the larger card. Use Tear and Tape for a firm hold.
Close the front, you will want the snow ball stacks to slip under the penguin. Once you've worked out placement, use dimensionals to adhere the left side of the penguin (snowballs will slip under the right side to hold the card closed.)
