A fun fold card for virtual class in April 2020.
Project Recipe
Cut pool party cardstock to 4¼ x 5½" for card base. Cut whisper white cardstock to 4 x 5¼". Cut designer series paper in strips of 4 inches with pattern going left to right. Then you will cut two pieces at 3" so you have two 3x4" pieces. Use scrap white to die cut a nested label die, I used 2nd largest one. Use another scrap of whisper white cardstock to punch a label me fancy piece out. Then you will use the classic label punch to punch out the little slot area for closure of the card.
Line your two pieces of designer series paper up so that directions are going left to right. You will now score one 1" from the top and the other one inch from the bottom. Then fold the two inch piece in from each side to create the point meeting at the one inch score line. Do both pieces.
Adhere the two triangles down on each piece of designer series paper. Next, adhere the one inch scored piece to the back of your whisper white cardstock that measured 4 x 5 ¼" letting the triangle hang over to the front. Make sure you have the direction correct if you are using paper that requires it to be so you don't end up with upside down birds!
Adhere this piece to the pool party base card.
Stamp the nested label die. I used memento black in and colored with stampin' blends. Fussy cut the flowers out from the bird ballad designer series paper. Set aside.
Adhere the nested label to the top triangle. Take the closure piece (classic label punched piece) and tuck the bottom of your nested label into the slot. Close the card for placement and see where you want it to go. Once you have that determined you can place a glue dot on each end of the classic label punched piece and adhere down.
Embellish with the two flowers you cut out. Stamp a greeting inside (under the nested label die piece) if so desired.
