Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of skinny green stalks with purple flowers on beige background design from Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper, cut so the stalks are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 3-1/2" x 5" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 6" of white stalks of flowers on purple background design from Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper
-2" x 5" of mottled dark green design from Perennial Lavender Designer Series Paper
- 2" square from Highland Heather Cardstock
Adhere the large piece of purple flower stalks on beige background Perennial Lavender Designer Paper to the front of the Highland Heather card. Make sure the stalks are pointing up.
As you are ready to stamp using the Flowers Of Beauty Set or Unbounded Love Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the filled in, large spray of leaves and stems image from the Flowers Of Beauty Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp off on Grid Paper. Without re-inking, stamp it in the center of the vertical Crumb Cake rectangle.
Mount the outline, large spray of leaves and stems image from the Flowers Of Beauty Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped stems and leaves.
Pick out the deckled rectangle die from the Deckled Rectangles Dies that cuts out a 3" x 4-3/8" deckled rectangle. Put it on top of the stamped leaves and stems image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Adhere the deckled rectangle cut out to the front of the card so it is about 3/8" from the left side and about 5/8" from the top and bottom edges.
Pick out both deckled circle dies from the Deckled Circles Dies that cut out a 1-3/4" diameter circle and a 1-3/8" circle. Put them on top of the white flower stalks on purple Perennial Lavender Designer Paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you leave room to cut out another 1-3/8" circle. Do NOT let the dies overlap. Run through the machine. Cut out another 1-3/8" circle.
Starting with the large circle cut out, fold it in half. Unfold it and fold it in half again in the opposite direction. Try to make sure that the original fold lines are right in the center.
Flip the circle over so the main side of the designer paper is on the back (in this case the white stalks on purple background).
In the lower right quadrant, fold a thin sliver of paper up towards the center on a diagonal between the right and bottom score lines. Repeat in the lower left quadrant.
Flip the folded circle over so the main side of the paper is showing (in this case the white stalks on purple background).
Fold the right petal in towards the center like you are making a paper airplane. Repeat on the left side.
Repeat the above steps folding both of the 1-3/8" circles in the same way.
Pick out both deckled circle dies from the Deckled Circles Dies that cut out a 1-3/8" diameter circle and a 1" circle. Put them on top of the mottled green Perennial Lavender Designer Paper on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so you leave room to cut out another 1" circle. Do NOT let the dies overlap. Run through the machine. Cut out another 1" circle.
Repeat the dahlia fold steps above with each of the mottled green circles making sure the mottled green side of the paper is the main side of the paper showing.
Working on the Silicone Craft Sheet so things don't stick to your work surface, tuck the large, folded, purple flower into the large, folded, green bracket and adhere in place. Tuck the two smaller purple flowers into the two smaller green brackets and adhere in place.
Adhere the layered flowers to the front of the card as shown so they overlap the stamped leaves and stems images a bit. The large flower should be a the top and should overlap the top of the stamped Crumb Cake rectangle a bit. The two smaller ones should be below and on the sides and may overlap the left and right edges of the Crumb Cake rectangle a bit.
Mount the "just for you" sentiment from the Unbounded Love Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment in the center of the small Highland Heather square.
Pick out the 1-3/8" circle die from the Deckled Circles Dies. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the sentiment. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment circle cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the lower right corner of the Crumb Cake rectangle.
Cut a 4" piece of the Pretty Peacock & Gold 3/8" Metallic Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown so it covers the bottoms of the stems.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 3 large and 2 small Pretty Peacock sequins from a sheet of Adhesive-Backed Sequins Trio making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown.
