Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Purple Posy Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 2-1/2" square from Purple Posy Cardstock
- 3/8" x 5-1/4" from Gorgeous Grape Cardstock
- 3/8" x 5-1/4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 3/8" x 5-1/4" from Purple Posy Cardstock
- 1/2" x 1-1/2" from Highland Heather Cardstock
Fill the small brush tip Aqua Painter with water.
Place the white rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Tip: Make sure you don’t have anything you don’t want to get inky near by!
Squeeze the lid of the Purple Posy Ink Pad. Open the pad, but leave the lid exposed. Squeeze the Aqua Painter to get some water in the lid. Stir the water and ink together with the brush of the Aqua Painter. If needed, add more ink to the pad lid using the ink refill. Hold the inky brush tip a couple of inches over the white rectangle and flick the brush with your finger to make drops of inky water fall onto the cardstock. Repeat until you have the coverage you want, getting more inky water on the brush as needed. Set aside to allow to dry.
Tip: Clean the brush tip of the Aqua Painter by scribbling on Grid Paper until no more color is coming off or run the tip under some running water until it is clear.
Mount the large, solid flower image from the Flourishing Phrases Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Purple Posy Ink Pad. BEFORE STAMPING, ink up a Sponge Dauber by rubbing it across the open Highland Heather Ink Pad. Daub the Highland Heather Ink around the outside edges of the inner petals on the inky stamp. BEFORE STAMPING, ink up a different Sponge Dauber by rubbing it across the open Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Daub the Gorgeous Grape Ink on the outer petals on the inky stamp. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp in the center of the Purple Posy square.
Cut out the stamped flower by hand using Paper Snips. Leave a small amount of light purple showing around the edges.
Mount the "hello" sentiment on Block A. Ink it up with the Gorgeous Grape Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small strip of Highland Heather.
If the white background is dry, proceed with the next step. Speed up drying with the Heat Tool if needed.
Mount the large flower flourish image from the Flourishing Phrases Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it on the splattered, large white rectangle so the top flower is about 5/8” from the top and the right edge is about ¼” from the right edge.
Adhere the long Gorgeous Grape strip to the left edge of the stamped and splattered white rectangle.
Adhere the long Highland Heather strip to the left edge of the stamped and splattered white rectangle so it butts up against the Gorgeous Grape strip.
Adhere the long Purple Posy strip to the left edge of the stamped and splattered white rectangle so it butts up against the Highland Heather strip.
Adhere the small stamped sentiment strip to the bottom of the white rectangle so the left edge butts up against the right edge of the Purple Posy strip and is about 5/8" from the bottom edge.
Adhere the white rectangle to the front of the Purple Posy card.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out flower to the front of the card so it overlaps the purple strips on the left side and the top of the sentiment strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up a medium Gorgeous Grape dot from a sheet of Glitter Enamel Dots being sure to get the adhesive as well. Adhere it to the center of the flower.
Cut a 3" piece of Purple 3/8" Tricolor Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card at an angle so it is in the lower left angle where the sentiment strip and the Purple Posy strip meet.
