T his card demonstrates the Peek-A-Boo folding technique.
Project Recipe
Using the Stampin' Trimmer, cut your base card stock 5.5" x 8.5". Score at 4.25". Fold on score line.
Cut Whisper White card stock 5.25" x 4".
Cut Floral Boutique DSP 5.25" x 4". Ensure that the reverse side of your DSP will go the right direction when the flaps are turned back.
Turn DSP so 5.25" side is horizontal on trimmer, put blade at the 2 5/8" mark and cut in 2.5".
Fold flaps back and crease using bone folder to create the peek-a-boo area, ensuring that your fold edges are even with the DSP paper edges.
Place the DSP over the Whisper White card stock so that all edges are even. Find center on the DSP where you cut for the folds and stamp your "birthday wishes" sentiment on the Whisper White using Night of Navy ink.
Adhere the DSP to the Whisper White card stock using snail adhesive.
Using the Big Shot, magnetic platform and Flower Fair framelits dies, cut several flower images using Hello Honey card stock to layer for your card.
Using Stamping Sponges and Hello Honey ink, sponge the edges of your flower pieces to add dimension.
Cut a white doily in half and adhere to card front having cut edge even with folded flaps.
Adhere the Whisper White card stock to your Hello Honey base card using snail adhesive.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals in between each flower layer, and adhere blossom accent to your finished flower. Give flower more dimension by curling with bone folder. Adhere to card front using Stampin' Dimensional.
