S ee how I used the sponge brayers to make the background for this card that uses the Field of Flowers stamp set and the Ornate Thanks stamp set along with gold embossing powder. You can view a video of how this card was made on my YouTube channel. Please subscribe there.
Project Recipe
Cut Whisper White thick card stock 5.5 x 8.5, score at 4.25 to create an A2 greeting card that is 4.25 x 5.5 when folded
Cut 3 strips of regular Whisper White card stock 1" wide by 8.5" long
Add a strip of TomBow removable adhesive to the back of two of these
Use your grid paper and place a strip of removable adhesive on the grid paper and lay the card front over that lining up the edges of the card front with the grids and press into place
To leave a 1/8" white border on the edge of the front place one piece of the 1" strip with removable adhesive on the back so that it attaches the edge 1/8" over the edge of the card front.
Next, place the 1" strip that does not have removable adhesive on it tightly next to the first piece.
Now, take the third piece of 1" card stock and tightly fit it next to the piece you just laid down. This piece should have removable adhesive on the back as well.
Now lift up the white "spacer" piece and this section is the one you will color first.
Using a sponge brayer and Pool Party ink brayer color onto this section until you get the desired opacity
Now you will lift one of the 1" pieces and lay it over the section you just colored.
Lay the spacer piece next to it
place the third pice next to the spacer piece
again, remove the space and color the next section with Petal Pink
Repeat this process with the third stripe being Rococo Rose and the final stripe being Highland Heather
Stamp your desired sentiment with versa mark and emboss with god embossing powder. I use the word Always from the Field of Flowers stamp set and the words So Grateful and for my friend from Ornate Thanks stamp set
