N autical Father's Day Card (could easily be changed to a birthday card)
Project Recipe
Begin with a piece of smoky slate cardstock that measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" scored at 8 1/4". You will have another piece of smokey slate that measures 5 1/2" x 8 1/4" that you will run through the honey comb embossing folder and attach to the front of the card base.
Your cherry cobbler cardstock measures 3 1/8" x 4 1/4" and you are going to punch the scallop border along one of the 4 1/4" side. (I did the left side)
Taking a 4 1/4" x 1" night of navy strip of cardstock - add this to the cherry cobbler cardstock by the scallop edge.
Using a very vanilla piece of cardstock that measures 4 1/4" x 2 1/2", stamp the globe towards the bottom with smoky slate ink. On a piece of very vanilla scrap, stamp the ship in night of navy as well as the compass in night of navy. Cut the ship out by hand and punch the compass with 1 1/4" circle punch. Attach the ship over the globe (off a little to the left) using dimensionals. Then add this piece to the cherry cobbler piece.
Punch a 1 3/8" circle with cherry cobbler cardstock and add the compass to this. Stamp the greeting in cherry cobbler and cut as a ribbon and attach to the compass. I put a small metal button using a glue dot in the center of the compass.
Wrap this completed cherry cobbler cardstock twice with the silver baker's twine and then using dimensionals, add this to the front of the card off to the left.
Attach the compass with greeting using dimensionals on the ribbon part and snail on the compass part.
Stamp an anchor and greeting on the inside with night of navy ink
