W hen your DSP is beautiful on both sides, here's a card layout that lets you show them both off!
Project Recipe
Measurements:
Card Base - 8 1/2" x 5 1/2", scored at 4 1/4"
- use a color that coordinates with your DSP choice.
Inside Layer - 5 1/4" x 4"
DSP - 5 1/4" x 4"
- 4" x 3/4" for strip inside of card
Sentiment - 3" x 1"
Ribbon - 2 - 1/2" x 2" pieces
Take the 4" x 5 1/4" of Basic White for the inside layer and stamp your sentiment of choice.
Adhere the 4" x 3/4" strip of DSP near the bottom of the card layer. Then adhere the layer to the inside of the card.
Take the 5 1/4" x 4" of DSP and decide which side you want to be the primary design showing on the card.
Using the largest and 2nd largest circles from the Stylish Shapes dies, lay them (nested together) about 3/4" down from the top right side of the DSP, and a little bit past the right edge of the DSP. Run them through the die-cutting machine.
Take the smaller circle and turn it over to the opposite pattern of the DSP. This will be the contrasting piece for your card front. (You won't use the thin strip that gets cut out between the 2 circles)
Adhere the larger piece of DSP onto the card front. Then adhere the smaller circle to the card front so that the flat edge on the right lines up with the right edge of the larger piece of DSP.
Stamp your sentiment of choice on the 3" x 1" piece of Basic White card stock.
Apply a bit of adhesive to the back of the sentiment piece in the upper left-hand corner. Attach the 2 pieces of ribbon to the back of the sentiment and trim the ends. Attach the sentiment to the card front using dimentionals.
Find the DSP pattern that has the Sandpiper bird on it, and die-cut the bird. Note: you can also stamp the bird using the stamp in the bundle and die cut that.
Attach the bird to the smaller circle using dimensionals.
Add the Flat Back Pearl embellishments.
Here is a sample of the card using the same pattern DSP, but using the opposite side as the main layer, and the Sahara Sand piece as the smaller circle.
