Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, designer paper, and shimmer vellum pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bumblebee Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Evening Evergreen Cardstock
- 2" x 6" of one of the vanilla dandelions on yellow background designs from Dandy Garden 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
-2-1/2" x 4" from Bumblebee Cardstock
- 2-3/8" x 3-7.8" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/4" of Evening Evergreen vellum from 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum
Mount the large dragonfly with open body image from the Dragonfly Garden Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum strip (shimmery side up) leaving room to punch it out, but wasting as little of the vellum as possible! Set it aside for awhile to let the ink have time to dry on the vellum so it doesn't smear.
Mount the grouping of small dragonflies image from the Dragonfly Garden Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it on the vertical Evening Evergreen rectangle in the lower right corner.
Unlock the Tailored Tag Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the designer paper strip into the punch and get the bottom edge centered in the punching area so you'll punch a notch in the end of the designer paper. Punch.
Adhere the punched strip of designer paper to the left side of the stamped Evening Evergreen rectangle so the notched ends almost touch the bottom edge and the left edge of the designer paper is about 1/4" from the left edge of the rectangle. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess designer paper along the top edge.
Adhere the stamped, layered Evening Evergreen rectangle to the front of the Bumblebee card.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Dragonfly Garden Set on an appropriate sized block. Ink it up with the Bumblebee Ink Pad. Stamp it in the upper right corner of the vertical vanilla rectangle.
Make sure you have some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink. Mount the group of flowers image from the Dragonfly Garden Set on Block I. Ink it up with the Evening Evergreen Ink Pad. Stamp it on the lower left side of the stamped, vertical vanilla rectangle so it is below the sentiment and the bottom of the image goes off the bottom of the rectangle.
Adhere the stamped vanilla rectangle to the Bumblebee rectangle. Then, adhere it to the front of the card in the upper right corner as shown.
Unlock the Dragonflies Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped large dragonfly into the punch and get it centered in the large dragonfly punching area. Punch. Keep all the pieces!
Use the unlocked Dragonflies Punch to punch out two small dragonflies from the Evening Evergreen Shimmer Vellum around the previously punched out image. Waste as little of the shimmer vellum as possible!
Use a Black Mini Stampin' Dimensional in the center of the back of the large dragonfly punch out to adhere the large dragonfly punch out to the front of the card at a slight angle as shown.
Use a small dot of Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen on the backs (less shimmery side) of the small dragonfly punch outs to adhere them to the card front at slight angles as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a diamond shaped epoxy shape from a sheet of Silver & Clear Epoxy Essentials making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the back of the large dragonfly punch out.
