Project Recipe
Start by choosing 2 sheets of of Designer Series paper with coordinating sides. For this one I chose 2 sheets of Peaceful Poppies Designer Series Paper.
If your paper has an obvious top and bottom, you're going to want to turn it in your paper trimmer so that it looks sideways, then cut in half at 6". Set one of each sheet to the side
It's time to cut your paper. Note: You should be able to cut through both sheets at the same time if you feel comfortable doing so. My directions are assuming you are cutting 2 sheets at one time.
With your paper laying horizontally (the long way) on your paper trimmer, start by cutting the far right section...cut at 4-1/2", then cut that section into 3 strips measuring 1-1/2" x 6". Then cut each strip in half at 3". You will end up with 12 strips that measure 1-1/2" x 3". Set those aside.
Tip: when I make One Sheet Wonder cards, I set the paper aside according to the way I cut the paper...sort into the paper sections so to speak.
Next you will cut the middle section: cut at 4" then trim 3/4" off the TOP (it will measure 3/4" x 4", set those 2 strips aside. Your paper should measure 4" x 5-1/4". Now cut the paper into 4 strips that will end up measuring 1" x 5-1/4" Set those aside.
For the final section, cut 2-1/4" from the BOTTOM, then again at 2-1/4". You will have 4 pieces that measure 3-1/2" x 2-1/4". You will have 2 leftover pieces that measure 3-1/2" x 1-1/2", cut those in half at 1-3/4" so that you will have 4 pieces that measure 1-1/2" x 1-3/4".
For the cards that use the pretty paper that you cut first, cut 4 card bases that measure 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" in a color that coordinates with your pretty paper. You will also need to cut 4 pieces of Whisper White or Very Vanilla cardstock that measures 3-1/4" x 5".
Lay out all 12 pieces of the 1-1/2" x 3" pieces, and lay them out on your card bases in the pattern of your choice. Adhere them strips to the neutral color layer. If desired, wrap and tie ribbon or twine around that layer. Finally, adhere that layer to the card front using Stampin' Dimensionals.
