Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 4" x 9-3/4" of thin, multicolored stripes on white background design from Ice Cream Corner Designer Series Paper, cut so the lines are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 1" x 3" from Whisper White or Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 2" x 3-1/2" from Whisper White or Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/2" from Pool Party Cardstock
- scrap of Pool Party Cardstock
Fold together a Love You Always Treat Box using a Bone Folder.
Fill the box with treats and close it up.
Put strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the short sides of the BACK of the Ice Cream Corner Designer Paper strip. Put lines of Stampin' Seal down the BACK side of the designer paper strip as well.
Remove the protective backing from one of the short strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Start adhering the designer paper to the center of the box sleeve on the bottom of the box. Wrap the paper around the sleeve and crease on the corners as you go. Remove the protective backing from the other short strip of Tear & Tape and adhere the end of the designer paper in place on the bottom of the sleeve.
As you are ready to stamp using the Dino Days Photopolymer Set or Oh Snap Photopolymer Set, put the cardstock on the Stampin’ Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the palm tree trunk image from the Dino Days Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1" x 3" white rectangle.
Pick out the palm tree trunk die from the Dino Dies. Put it on top of the stamped palm tree trunk image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Adhere the palm tree trunk cut out to the front of the top of the box sleeve at a slight angle so the top of the trunk cut out is about 1" from the top of the sleeve and the left edge is about 1/2" from the left side at the bottom. Use Paper Snips to trim off excess tree trunk on the bottom edge.
Mount the feathery leaf image from the Dino Days Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it 4 times on the Soft Sea Foam rectangle. Re-ink the stamp each time. Leave room between each stamped leaf image so they can be cut out with the die.
Pick out the leaf die from the Dino Dies. One at a time, put it on top of a stamped leaf image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the leaf image is centered in the die. Run through the machine. Repeat until you have cut out all 4 leaves.
Adhere the leaf cut outs to the top of the palm tree trunk so they overlap at the top of the trunk. The leaves on the left side and upper left side may hang over the left and upper sides of the box sleeve a bit.
Mount the pterodactyl image from the Dino Days Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it on the 2" x 3-1/2" rectangle of white cardstock.
Pick out the pterodactyl die from the Dino Dies. Put it on top of the stamped pterodactyl image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the image is centered in the die. Run through the machine.
Adhere the pterodactyl cut out to the top of the box sleeve so it is very close to the top edge and overlaps the palm tree leaves on the right side a bit.
Mount the “You’re Rawrsome!” sentiment from the Dino Days Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Pool Party rectangle.
Pick out the scalloped oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 1" x 2". Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment oval cut out to the top of the box sleeve in the lower right corner just under the pterodactyl cut out.
Mount the small grouping of fish and bubbles image from the Oh Snap Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Bermuda Bay Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Pool Party Cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to cut out one of the tiny fish images by hand.
Use a small piece of Dimensionals cut from the side of a sheet of Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the tiny fish cut out to the top of the box sleeve so it appears to be in the pterodactyl's mouth.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 large and 1 medium Crushed Curry dots from a sheet of Playing With Patterns Resin Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the top of the box sleeve where the leaves of the palm tree meet at the top of the trunk as coconuts.
