S imple, pretty card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of pink flowers and green leaves on pink background background pattern from All My Love Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- pink flower cut from a piece of the red and pink flowers and green leaves on light brown background pattern from All My Love Designer Series Paper using Paper Snips
Adhere the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" piece of All My Love Designer Series Paper to the large Soft Sea Foam rectangle and then to the front of the Flirty Flamingo card.
Mount the "so many of my smiles begin with you" sentiment oval from the Detailed With Love Set on Block D. Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Flirty Flamingo Ink Pad to get some ink on the dauber. Then, daub the inky dauber all over the sentiment stamp. Get more ink on the dauber as needed. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink. Stamp in the center of the white rectangle.
Tip: I find you get a better image with this stamp if you ink the stamp up this way. The fine lines of the words and the dots around the edge of the oval can fill up with ink if you ink the stamp up in a normal manner and you lose the details.
Tip: I just clean my daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out an oval that is 1-5/8" wide. Place the stamped sentiment oval on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the oval framelit on top so the sentiment is centered. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Tip: You will have some areas of white showing around the edges of the oval and it may not be perfectly centered.
Get some more Flirty Flamingo Ink on the Sponge Dauber and sponge the edges of the sentiment oval cut out to hide all the white edges.
Pick out the oval framelit from the Layering Ovals Framelits that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 2" wide. Place the small Soft Sea Foam rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the scalloped oval framelit on top. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment oval cut out to the center of the scalloped Soft Sea Foam oval cut out.
Cut a 5" piece of the Whisper White 5/8" Flax Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Using Stampin' Dimensionals, adhere the folded ribbon to the back of the matted sentiment oval so the ends of the ribbon will stick out from behind the ovals on the lower left side when the ovals are face up. Trim the ends of the ribbon at angles.
Remove the protective backings from the Dimensionals and adhere the matted sentiment ovals with ribbon attached to the front of the card on the lower right side.
If you haven't already done so, cut a pink flower from a scrap of the All My Love Designer Series Paper.
Adhere the cut out flower to the upper right side of the sentiment ovals.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a Petal Pink pearl from a sheet of Share What You Love Artisan Pearls making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere the pearl to the center of the cut out flower.
