T his quick and easy gold embossed reindeer card makes Dasher shine!
Project Recipe
Let's do some embossing!
1) Emboss small reindeer on white cardstock scrap pieces using gold ink and gold embossing powder. Pat the antistatic "embossing buddy" over the white cardstock before stamping to minimize clinging particles of embossing powder elsewhere on the cardstock. Stamp with gold embossing ink, then pour gold embossing powder over the image and tap off the excess.
Heat with embossing tool until powder has melted, than cut out the reindeer image using the coordinating layering ovals framelets. (2.5" x3"size smooth oval) .
2.) Next adhere this oval cut out piece in the center of the 4"x5.25" piece of gold foil and cut it out using the 2nd largest scalloped oval die (2.5x3.5" ) cut. You will use the rest of this lg gold foil piece later in the project so be sure to cut this out of the center, not along the edges.
2.) While you are embossing, go ahead and dust the inside of card with your embossing buddy (to remove static) then use the gold ink and gold embossing powder to stamp the inside greeting in center of white card, add another embossed image (I chose the small doe) in the bottom left corner if desired. She's so cute I couldn't resist adding her to the card.
3) One more embossing chore...Use the 3\4" x3-3 /4" strip of white to stamp and emboss the Happiest Christmas Wishes sentiment. After embossing this piece snip a v shaped notch on each end of the banner. Or, you can use a sharp pair of snips/scissors or use the pointy end of the Triple Banner punch for this part..)
4) Cut out the embossed deer using the smooth oval diecut measuring 2.5" x3" from the framelets set.
Next use the 2nd largest scalloped oval die (2.5"x3.5" in size) to cut a scalloped oval out of the middle of a 4" x 5.25" piece of gold foil cardstock,
3.) Use strong adhesive to attach the embossed deer image to the smooth white oval white cardstock piece, then attach this piece to the scalloped foil diecut piece. Set this piece aside for now.
4) While you are embossing, go ahead and dust the inside of card with your embossing buddy to remove static then use the gold ink and gold embossing powder to stamp the inside greeting in center of white card, add another embossed image (I chose the small doe) in the bottom left corner if desired. use the Big Shot embossing machine and the Layering ovals framelets to diecut the reindeer . you will use the smooth edged oval approx 2.5" x 3" for this step. t
after cutting out embossed reindeer on white take the 4" x5.25". piece of gold foil paper and use the 2nd largest scalloped oval to cut an oval out of the middle of the gold paper. I do this to save on gold foil cardstock since only the edge will show in the final project so why waste, right? I'm not cheap, I'm just thrifty!
--run the Navy blue layer thru the Tin Type embossing folder,
- attach embossed blue layer to the gold piece (the one with the big hole in the middle) using strong adhesive to make sure it stays put on the slick metallic surface.
-attach the blue and gold layer to the front of folded white card.

emboss the inside of card with desired sentiments using gold embossed ink to stamp, cover with gold powder and sake of excess before melting the powder with the heat tool. I thought adding another embossed deer on the inside looked nice as well.
