Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bumblebee Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of light yellow flowers in orange leaf lattice on darker yellow background design from Harvest Meadow 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper
- 3-1/4" square from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 2" square from Old Olive Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Bumblebee Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Harvest Meadow Designer Paper to the Cajun Craze rectangle and then to the front of the Bumblebee card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Delicate Dahlias Set, place the cardstock or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the large, outline dahlia flower image from the Delicate Dahlias Set on Block E paying attention to the orientation of the stamp. Ink it up using the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla square.
Mount the large, solid dahlia flower image from the Delicate Dahlias Set on Block E paying attention to the orientation of the stamp (try to orient it the same way as the first stamp). Ink it up using the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the vanilla square over the top of the previously stamped outline image trying to line up the petals a bit. The petals do NOT have to line up perfectly.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut out the stamped dahlia flower by hand.
Mount the outline grouping of three leaves image from the Delicate Dahlias Set on Block B. Ink it up using the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Old Olive square.
Mount the solid grouping of three leaves image from the Delicate Dahlias Set on Block B. Ink it up using the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Old Olive square inside the previously stamped outline leaves.
Use Paper Snips Scissors to cut the leaves out by hand. Don't worry if they come apart at the stems, just keep all the pieces.
Mount the sentiment of choice from the Delicate Dahlias Set on an appropriate size block. Ink it up with the Cajun Craze Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the horizontal Bumblebee strip leaving room to cut out the tag.
Pick out the rounded top tag die from the Tailor Made Tags Dies that cuts out a tag that is 1-1/8" wide. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so the sentiment is centered in the die and is about 1/2" from the hole in the top of the tag with the top of the tag on the right side. Run through the machine.
Cut a 4" piece of the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Place the piece of ribbon on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface.
Use the brush tip of the Cajun Craze Dark Stampin' Blends to color the ribbon piece. Allow to dry for a few minutes.
Cut an 8" piece of the Linen Thread.
Feed one end of the colored ribbon through the hole in the right side of the tag. Pull through until the ribbon is equal. Use Linen Thread to tie the ribbon in place using a small bow. Trim the ends of the ribbon and thread.
Adhere the tag with ribbon attached to the front of the card so it is about 3/4" from the bottom and the right side of the tag is about 1-1/4" from the right side.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the cut out dahlia flower to the front of the card so it overlaps the upper left end of the tag as shown.
Adhere the leaves cut out to the front of the card so they cover the left end of the tag and the stems are tucked under the flower as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one large gold dot from the sheet of Brushed Metallic Adhesive-Backed Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the upper right corner of the card.
