Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pool Party Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" of black and pink stripes design from Flower & Field Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the horizontal rectangle
- 1" x 5" from Pool Party Cardstock
- 2-5/8" x 3-7/8" from Flirty Flamingo Cardstock
- 2-1/2" x 3-3/4" from Whisper White or Basic White Cardstock
Adhere the piece of Flower & Field Designer Series Paper to the front of the Pool Party card.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the Pool Party strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notched top) as far as it will go. Punch. Repeat with the other short edge.
Adhere the punched Pool Party strip to the center of the card front.
Mount the seated donkey image from the Darling Donkeys Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it on the white rectangle as close as possible to the left edge and about 1/4" from the bottom edge.
Mount the skinny balloon image from the Approaching Perfection Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Memento Pad. Stamp it three times above the donkey's tail as shown so the balloons do not overlap at the top and the bottoms of the strings are near the donkey's tail and may overlap a bit. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
If needed, use the fine tip of the Basic Black Marker to draw in more of the balloon strings at the bottom.
Mount the "News Flash" sentiment from the Approaching Perfection Set on Block B. Use the side of the brush tip of the Flirty Flamingo Marker to ink up only the words "News Flash" in the block. Use the side of the brush tip of the Pool Party Marker to ink up the rest of the sentiment. Breathe on the stamp to moisten the ink and stamp it on the white strip just to the right of the donkey image so the bottom is in line with the bottom of the donkey image.
Mount the small grouping of three sparkles/starbursts image from the Darling Donkeys Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pool Party Ink Pad. Stamp it three times over the sentiment. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Vary the height of the image a little each time.
Put the stamped white rectangle on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Dark and Light Flirty Flamingo Stampin' Blends to color in the center balloon, the donkey's inner ears, and the donkey's nose.
Use the Dark and Light Pool Party Stampin' Blends to color in the two outside balloons.
Use the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to color in the donkey's hooves, tail, and mane hair and some of his body.
Use the Light Crumb Cake and Light Gray Granite Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the donkey.
Use the Color Lifter Stampin' Blends if needed to remove excess color.
Adhere the stamped and colored white rectangle to the center of the Flirty Flamingo rectangle.
Adhere the matted rectangles to the center of the card front.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the Pool Party 3/8" Sheer Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the front of the card over the ends of the balloon strings where they overlap the donkey's tail.
