Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a cutting and scoring tool:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 3-3/4" x 5" of of white petal shapes on mottled red, yellow, and orange background design from See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper, cut so the petals are vertical on the vertical rectangle
- 3-1/4" square from Real Red Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 3-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
Adhere the piece of See A Silhouette Designer Series Paper to the center of the Crushed Curry card front so the petals are pointing down.
Mount the single dandelion with seeds blowing away image from the Dandelion Wishes Set on Block E. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square.
Pick out the smooth-edged circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a 2-15/16" diameter circle. Put it on top of the stamped dandelion image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the dandelion is on the left side. Run through the tool. You will cut off some of the seeds.
Pick out the scalloped-edge circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a 3-1/8" diameter scalloped circle. Put it on top of the Real Red square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Rub a Sponge Dauber across the open Daffodil Delight Ink Pad to get it inky. Rub off some of the ink on Grid Paper. Then, lightly rub the inky dauber over the dandelion and the blowing away seeds on the white circle cut out. Repeat until you have the color coverage you want. Get more ink on the Sponge Dauber as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Sponge Daubers when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Adhere the dandelion circle cut out to the center of the red scalloped circle cut out. Then, adhere them to the front of the card so they are centered side to side and about 3/4" from the top edge.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one short edge of the Crushed Curry strip into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "I made a wish..." sentiment from the Dandelion Wishes Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Real Red Ink Pad. Stamp it on the notched Crushed Curry strip so the sentiment is close to the notch and the notch is on the right side.
Adhere the sentiment strip to the card front so the straight left edge is near the left side of the circles and the top overlaps the bottom of the circles a bit.
Cut a 5" piece of the Real Red 1" Ruched Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon knot to the left end of the sentiment strip.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large, clear droplet from a sheet of Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the center of the dandelion.
