Project Recipe
Cut card stock and designer series paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer for the basic card:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 11" and scored at 3-3/4" and 8"
- 3-1/2" x 5-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 3-3/8" x 5-1/8" of large yellow daisies with green stems on white background design from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, be sure to cut it so that the flowers/stems are vertical
- 2-3/4" x 5-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 2-5/8" x 5-1/8" of rows of green leaves on green background design from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, be sure to cut it so that the rows are vertical
- 2 pieces each 3" square from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
Cut card stock and designer series paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer for the inside of the card:
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
Fold the two flaps of the card in. Use the Bone Folder to get crisp, clean folds.
Adhere the yellow daisies and green stems designer paper piece to the 3-1/2" x 5-1/4" piece of Daffodil Delight Cardstock.
Cut a 4-1/2" piece of the Old Olive 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon piece across the designer paper/cardstock layer so it is about 1-1/4" up from the bottom. Flip the designer paper/cardstock over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere them in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Remove the protective backings and add more SNAIL Adhesive to the back. Adhere the designer paper/cardstock piece to the front (larger) flap of the Old Olive card.
Adhere the piece of green leaves in rows designer paper to the piece of Daffodil Delight Cardstock that is 2-3/4" x 5-1/4".
Adhere this designer paper/cardstock piece to the smaller flap of the Old Olive card.
Mount the longer stem with 4 little leaves image from the Daisy Delight Photopolymer Stamp Set on Block H. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower left corner of the white rectangle so the stem goes off the bottom edge and it is at a slight angle towards the right.
Mount the small, outline daisy image on Block A. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it on the top of the stem image.
Mount the solid, small daisy image on Block A. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the outline daisy image.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the remaining large Daffodil Delight rectangle. Then, adhere to the inside of the card.
Mount the large outline daisy image on Block D. Ink it up with the Old Olive Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the 3" squares of Daffodil Delight Cardstock. Leave the stamp on the block.
Ink up the daisy image again with Old Olive Ink and stamp it on the other 3" square of Daffodil Delight.
Unlock the Daisy Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped daisy squares into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the punching area. You may have to trim a bit of card stock off one corner of the square using Paper Snips to get things to line up properly. Punch. VERY IMPORTANT - before removing the cardstock from the punch, slide a piece of copy paper into the punch. Then, slide the square of cardstock and the copy paper out at the same time. This will keep the pointy edges of the punched piece from catching on the punch and tearing.
Slide the second stamped daisy square into the punch and repeat the step above. Remember to use the copy paper to slide the punched cardstock out of the punch easily.
Adhere the two daisy punch outs on top of each other so they are slightly offset to make one big, full daisy.
Put a tight grouping of 3 Stampin' Dimensionals in the center of the back of the daisy.
Remove the protective backings from the Dimensionals and adhere the daisy to the front flap of the card so it is centered over the ribbon and the right side of the daisy hangs off the right side of the flap just a bit.
Add a large Gold Faceted Gem to the center of the daisy.
Cut a 4" piece of Old Olive 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon. Slide one end under the ribbon on the front flap. Tie it in place using a half knot and slide it as close to the daisy as you can get it. Trim the ends.
