Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer series paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Old Olive Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 11" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Daffodil Delight Cardstock
- 2-7/8" x 4-3/4" of dotted white lines with daisies on blue background design from Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper, be sure to cut it so that the lines are vertical
- 3 pieces each 3" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2 pieces each 2" x 3" from Old Olive Cardstock
Place the Daffodil Delight rectangle into the Petal Burst Embossing Folder. Place the folder with the card stock inside on top of a Cutting Pad on your Big Shot Platform at the lowest possible setting. Place another Cutting Pad on top of the folder and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the straight edge square framelit from the Layering Squares Framelits that cuts out a 2-7/8" square. Place the piece of Delightful Daisy Designer Paper on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the square framelit on top of one of the short edges at an angle so that the framelit will cut a notch in the end of the paper. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the notched designer paper to the dry embossed Daffodil Delight rectangle so it is centered side to side and the top of the designer paper lines up with the top of the cardstock.
Mount the "so happy for you" sentiment from the Beautiful You Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Night of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it just to the right of center and slightly above center on one of the 3" squares of white cardstock.
Pick out the circle framelit from the Stitched Shapes Framelits that cuts out a 2-3/8" circle. Place the stamped sentiment on the Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the circle framelit on top so the sentiment is on the right side and slightly above center. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the sentiment circle to the right side of the designer paper banner so it is about 1/4" from the right side of the Daffodil Delight layer.
Cut a 5" piece of Old Olive 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon.
Lay the ribbon piece across the card front so it runs just below the sentiment in the circle. Flip the card front over and fold the ends of the ribbon over. Adhere them in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of layer. Adhere the layer to the front of the Old Olive card.
Mount the large outline daisy image from the Daisy Delight Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the 3" squares of Whisper White Cardstock. Leave the stamp on the block.
Tip: If you make sure that one of the petals of the daisy is pointing straight down when you stamp it, then it will be easier to line things up in the Daisy Punch for punching the daisy out. Otherwise, you might need to cut a corner off of the cardstock so that you can move the cardstock around to line things up.
Ink up the daisy image again with Daffodil Delight Ink and stamp it on the other 3" square of Whisper White.
Mount the outline daisy center image from the Daisy Delight Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Daffodil Delight Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of one of the daisies.
Unlock the Daisy Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide one of the stamped daisy squares into the punch. Carefully line up the image so it is centered in the punching area. You may have to trim a bit of card stock off one corner of the square using Paper Snips to get things to line up properly. Punch.
Tip: VERY IMPORTANT - before removing the cardstock from the punch, slide a piece of copy paper into the punch. Then, slide the square of cardstock and the copy paper out at the same time. This will keep the pointy edges of the punched piece from catching on the punch and tearing.
Slide the second stamped daisy square into the punch and repeat the step above. Remember to use the copy paper to slide the punched cardstock out of the punch easily.
Adhere the two daisy punch outs on top of each other so they are slightly offset to make one big, full daisy. Make sure the daisy with the stamped center is on top.
Pick out the large stem with 5 leaves thinlit from the Flourish Thinlits. Place one rectangle of Old Olive Cardstock on the Precision Plate on top of your Platform on your Big Shot. Place the thinlit on top. Place a Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot a couple of times. Use the Die Brush to remove the card stock. Repeat with the other rectangle of Old Olive Cardstock.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the leaves to the back of the daisy flower so they poke out above and below the flower at slight angles.
Remove the protective backings from the Dimensionals and adhere the daisy to the front of the card so it is on the left side of the banner and overlaps the ribbon and the sentiment circle.
Add a large Clear Faceted Gem to the center of the daisy.
Cut a 4" piece of Old Olive 3/8" Mini Chevron Ribbon. Slide one end under the ribbon on the front of the card. Tie it in place under the sentiment using a half knot. Trim the ends.
