Project Recipe
Create a 5"square card base by cutting a piece of thick whisper white card to 5" x 10" (12.5cm x 25cm) and scoring on the long side at 5" (12.5cm)
Cut the mats for the card
Balmy blue 4 1/2" (11.5cm)
Shimmery White 4" (10cm)
You will also need some balmy blue and shimmery white for die cuts.
Using the Stamparatus, line the tree up slightly down from the centre. Using stampin' write markers, colour the trunk of the tree with early espresso and then pounce some colour over the tree using the side of the brush end of the markers. Don't use the point for this as you will damage them. I used cherry cobbler, garden green, crushed curry and rich razzleberry. Spritz it lightly with water before stamping onto the 4" shimmery white card,
Using an aqua painter, add in sky with balmy blue and grass with garden green. Allow to dry
Using the large jigsaw die, cut the shimmery white square, leaving a border around the edge.. It is a bonus if the paper stays in the die, because you can turn it over and put glue on the back and then carefully turn it over and press onto the balmy blue mat, before removing the die.
I lifted one piece up on dimensions and twisted it slightly.
Tie a length of white bakers twine around the bottom of this mat, before attaching it to the card front.
Die cut 2 balmy blue large jigsaw pieces and one from shimmery white. Using the "For You, Dad" greeting from the Best Catch stamp set, and by masking words with tape, stamp "For you" and then "Dad" onto the shimmery white jigsaw piece. Do a garden green watercolour wash over the top,.
Stick the 2 blue jigsaw pieces to the top left corner and then add the shimmery white one on top with dimensionals.
