Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Fresh Freesia Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" of black squiggle lines on white background design from Cute Halloween 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper
- 2" x 4" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Basic White Cardstock
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Fresh Freesia Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush all over the Cute Halloween Designer Paper piece. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Adhere the colored designer paper piece to the Fresh Freesia rectangle.
As you are ready to stamp using the Cutest Halloween Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "You put a smile on my face" sentiment from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal Highland Heather strip in the center. Leave room to punch it out.
Unlock the Label Me Fancy Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped sentiment into the punch and get it centered in the punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked. Keep all the pieces.
Slide the leftover end of the Highland Heather strip into the unlocked punch so you will punch out the small hole. Now, slide the leftover end of the Highland Heather strip with the hole punched in it into the unlocked punch so you will punch out a rounded end. Get the hole centered in the rounded end fairly close to the edge. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked.
Lay the punched out bit on the BACK of the sentiment punch out lining up the rounded edges on one side. Use a pen or pencil to draw inside the hole area. Repeat with the other rounded edge.
Slide the marked sentiment punch out into the unlocked punch and get the marked area centered inside the hole punch. Punch. Repeat with the other end.
Cut a 6" piece of the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Thread the sentiment label punch out onto the ribbon and get it positioned on the ribbon on the right side. Put some Stampin' Dimensionals on the BACK of the sentiment label punch out.
Remove the protective backings from the Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere the sentiment label punch out to the horizontal designer paper/cardstock rectangle so it is about 1/2" from the bottom and about 1" from the right edge. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Fresh Freesia rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Highland Heather card.
Mount the solid cat head image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the horizontal white strip so the ears are pointing up. Leave room to punch it out.
Mount the outline cat head image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped purple cat head.
Mount the detailed cat face image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Jet Black StazOn Ink Pad or Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it inside the previously stamped cat head image.
Unlock the Halloween Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped cat head into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Put Mini Stampin' Dimensionals on the back of the cat head punch out near the top. Remove the protective backings and adhere the cat head punch out to the card front so it overlaps the upper right side of the sentiment label punch out as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up one large and two small dots from the sheet of Matte Black Dots making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere the large dot to the upper left corner of the front of the card. Adhere the two small dots over the eyes on the cat head punch out.
Cut an 3-1/2" piece of the Black & White 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Slide one end of the ribbon under the ribbon already on the card front so it is centered between the left side of the card and the left side of the sentiment label punch out. Tie in place with a half knot. Trim the ends.
