Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 2" x 4-1/8" of gray stripes on white background design from Cute Halloween 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, cut so the stripes are horizontal on the vertical rectangle
- 1-5/8" x 3-5/8" from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1/2" x 3" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Cute Halloween Set or Textures & Frames Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the set of three brushstroke lines image from the Textures & Frames Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it 3 times on the right side of the vertical large white rectangle so the lines are horizontal leaving a little room between each set of lines. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. The right edge of the lines should be about 1/2" from the right edge of the cardstock. The top line should be about 7/8" from the top edge of the cardstock. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the set of three brushstroke lines image on Block B with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it 3 times on the right side of the vertical large white rectangle so the lines are horizontal filling in the space between the previously stamped yellow lines. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. The right edge of the lines should be about 1/2" from the right edge of the cardstock. The top line should be about 3/4" from the top edge of the cardstock. Stamp the lines one more time at the bottom if needed using Pumpkin Pie Ink. Overlap the previously stamped lines if needed. The bottom line should be about 3/4" from the bottom of the cardstock. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy, but leave the stamp on the block.
If needed, re-ink the set of three brushstroke lines image on Block B with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad again. Stamp the lines one more time at the bottom if needed. Overlap the previously stamped lines if needed. The bottom line should be about 7/8" from the bottom of the cardstock. Clean the stamp using the Stampin' Scrub and Stampin' Mist Stamp Cleaner and/or Simply Shammy and put it away.
Mount the set of three candy corn pieces image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the previously stamped white vertical rectangle as shown. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the set of three candy corn pieces image on Block A with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly all over the small, vertical white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Vary the orientation of the stamp every so often. Let some of the images go off the sides of the cardstock.
If needed, mount the small, single candy corn piece image from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in any blank spaces on the small, vertical white rectangle. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time and vary the orientation.
Use the brush tip of the Crushed Curry Stampin' Write Marker to color in the bottom band on all the stamped candy corn images.
Adhere the stamped and colored large white vertical rectangle to the large Crushed Curry rectangle and then to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card.
Adhere the stamped and colored small white vertical rectangle to the Pumpkin Pie rectangle.
Unlock the Banners Pick A Punch. Slide one short edge of the skinny Crushed Curry strip into the right side of the punch (the side of the punch with the inward notch) as far as it will go and get it centered. Punch. Repeat with the other end of the strip.
Mount the "treat yourself" sentiment from the Cutest Halloween Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the punched Crushed Curry Strip.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the stamped and punched sentiment strip to the matted candy corn small vertical rectangles so the sentiment strip is centered side to side and is about 1" from the bottom edge.
Cut a 5" piece of the black/white Baker's Twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack. Fold the twine in half.
Lay the folded twine piece across the bottom of the candy corn rectangle just below the punched sentiment strip. Flip the rectangle over and secure the ends of the twine in place with small strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Leave the protective backings in place for now.
Rub a Blending Brush across the open Crushed Curry Ink Pad to get it inky. Lightly rub the inky Blending Brush all over the gray striped Cute Halloween Designer Paper piece. Get more ink on the Blending Brush as needed.
Tip: I just clean my Blending Brushes when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape and add more adhesive to the back of the matted candy corn rectangle. Adhere it to the center of the blended designer paper rectangle.
Adhere the matted candy corn/designer paper rectangle to the front of the card so it is centered top to bottom over the left edge of the stamped stripes. The left edge of the designer paper rectangle should be about 7/8" from the left edge of the card.
Cut an 8" piece of the black/white Baker's Twine from the Playful Pets Trim Combo Pack.
Tie a small bow in the center of the twine. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the twine bow to the front of the card at the right edge of the twine already on the card as shown.
