I f you are like me, you have lots of patterned paper, often small pieces. This card uses those small pieces in a sunburst pattern, and the card is easy to create.
Project Recipe
Select two coordinating pieces of patterned paper.
Create a card base in a cardstock color that complements the patterned paper: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" and scored at 4 1/4".
Cut four pieces of patterned paper--two different patterns--into 1 1/2" x 5" strips.
Then, as shown in the photo, cut each one diagonally.
On a piece of white cardstock cut at 4" x 5 1/4" glue the strips in an alternate pattern as shown in the photo.
When the glue is dry, turn the piece over and trim to 5" x 3 3/4".
Attach this to a piece of coordinating cardstock cut at 5 1/4" x 4".
Stamp a sentiment on a piece of white cardstock cut at 1" x 5" and add embellishments if desired.
Add to the bottom of the sunburst piece.
Wrap ribbon around the piece and secure on the back.
The the finished piece to the card front.
