inished Eclipse card colorful version
stamp
Project Recipe
this version is pretty much the same as the more colorful version except less coloring required since you "spotlight" the cat by stamping the background on white first then punching out the cat and coloring in ONLY the cat before replacing him into the punched out "hole". Option...to add emphasis you can punch out two cat shapes from plain black cardstock and insert into the cat shaped hole before putting dimensionals on the back of the colored in cat and replacing into the punched hole for the colored cat image.
Attach the baker's twine around the left edge of the card before adhering to black layer. Once black layer is attached, adhere to folded Tangerine Tango card.
Stamp small happy birthday sentiment from Big on Birthdays or Teeny Tiny Wishes onto small strip of white cardstock, attach to tangerine base.
Supplies and instructions are the same as in the Colorful Cat Spotlight card
after punching out cat, adhere the stamped background onto the black cardstock layer, apply dimensionals to the back of the colorful cat and stick it back into the punched out space. Attach black panel to the tangerine base, stamp desired greeting (I used a happy birthday image) then use whatever corresponding greeting you prefer for the inside.
This is called an eclipse card because you can see the black edges of the bottom layer showing under the cat image...just like when the moon is eclipsed by the sun! If you want to make the black edge more visible you can punch out a few black cats and adhere them under the stamped cat with just a touch of the black edge sticking out on either side to give a more pronounced "eclipse"
