P retty tag using Stampin' Up! products and dry embossing with the Big Shot.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- 2" x 3-3/4" from Petal Pink Cardstock
- 2" x 2-1/2" from Rich Razzleberry Cardstock
Unlock the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. Insert the strip of Petal Pink Cardstock into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
Mount the "Do something creative every day." sentiment from the Crafting Forever Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Rich Razzleberry Ink Pad. Stamp it on the top of the tag in the center, getting as close as you can to the hole punched in the top of the tag.
Pick out one of the small silver rose embellishments from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit. Peel the protective backing off the back and adhere the rose to the squiggle along the top right side of the sentiment.
Pick out the long, bumpy thinlit from the Detailed Floral Thinlits. Place the Rich Razzleberry rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of the Platform on the Big Shot. Place the long, bumpy thinlit on top so it is right along the edge of one of the long sides. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out the smaller detailed floral thinlit from the Detailed Floral Thinlits. Build the following sandwich in this order on top of the Big Shot:
- Big Shot Platform with Thin Die Adapter removed
- white Impressions Pad from Big Shot Embossing Mats
- thick gray silicone rubber mat from Big Shot Embossing Mats
- cut Rich Razzleberry Cardstock piece
- smaller detailed floral thinlit with cutting side down, line it up with the cut edge of the Rich Razzleberry piece
- clear Standard Cutting Pad
Run the sandwich through the Big Shot a couple of times.
Tip: This sandwich will let the detailed thinlit dry emboss the cardstock instead of cutting it.
If necessary, cut off any excess cardstock along the bottom of the dry embossed Rich Razzleberry strip (use the line embossed into the cardstock as a cutting guide).
Adhere the dry embossed Rich Razzleberry piece to the bottom of the tag so about 1/8" of Petal Pink shows along the bottom edge. Trim off excess Rich Razzleberry cardstock on the edges.
Tip: Always cut the cardstock you plan to dry emboss a little longer than needed as it does shrink when it gets dry embossed. You can always trim off the excess.
Cut a 4" piece of pearlized thread from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit.
Fold the thread in half. Stick the folded end through the hole in the top of the tag from the front. Pull the folded end through until you can stick the loose ends through the loop made by the folded end. Pull the thread tight. Use the loose ends of the thread to tie the tag onto the ribbon on your packaging.
