Project Recipe
Cut cardstock, metallic paper, Window Sheets, and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crushed Curry Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 6-3/4" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1" x 5-1/2" from Crushed Curry Cardstock
- 2-1/4" x 5-1/4" from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 2-1/8" x 5-1/8" of Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss stripes on white background design from Country Lane Designer Series Paper, cut so lines are vertical
- 3/4" x 5-1/4" from Blackberry Bliss Cardstock
- 5/8" x 5-1/8" of Crushed Curry and Blackberry Bliss stripes on white background design from Country Lane Designer Series Paper, cut so lines are vertical
- 2" x 5-1/4" from Window Sheets
- 1-1/2" x 2-1/4" from Galvanized Metallic Paper
- 2-1/2" square from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock
Place the Stamparatus in front of you with the open sides of the Stamparatus on the left and bottom. Insert one hinged plate into the Stamparatus on the right side. Put the foam mat on the base of the Stamparatus. Put a piece of Small Grid Paper on top of the foam mat on the Stamparatus.
Pick out the "happy harvest blessings" sentiment from the Country Home Set. Place it upside down on the Small Grid Paper so the tops of the words "happy" and "blessings" are on the horizontal 3" line on the Small Grid Paper and the right edge of the "h" in the word "happy" is on the 3" vertical line on the Small Grid Paper. Close the plate on the Stamparatus and press firmly so the stamp sticks to the plate. Open the plate.
Ink up the stamp on the plate using the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. If you get excess ink on the plate, you can wipe it off with a baby wipe or tissue. Close the plate onto the Small Grid Paper and press down firmly. Open the plate. Check to make sure the sentiment stamped right side up and straight. If not, adjust the stamp on the plate and try again. When happy with the positioning of the stamp, proceed to the next step.
Tip: Slide a Clear-Mount Stamp Case under the plate before inking up the stamp. This gives you a firm, flat surface to push against making it easier to ink up the stamp.
Tip: If you have an Blackberry Bliss Stampin' Spot on hand, use it to ink up the stamp instead of a full sized ink pad. It will give you more control and will help keep stray ink from getting on the plate.
When you are happy with the placement of the sentiment stamp on the Stamparatus plate, place the 4" x 5-1/4" Whisper White rectangle on the Stamparatus base so one long side is running horizontally across the top and is on the 1/4" line on the Small Grid Paper and the left short side is on the 5-1/2" line on the Small Grid Paper. Re-ink the sentiment stamp with Blackberry Bliss Ink. Close the plate onto the cardstock and press down firmly. Open the plate. If you are not happy with the coverage you got, you can close the plate again and press firmly again or re-ink the stamp and try again.
Adhere the large, sentiment stamped white rectangle to the inside of the large flap of the card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Country Home Set, place the cardstock, metallic paper, or designer paper on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the milk jug image from the Country Home Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small rectangle of Galvanized Metallic Paper.
Mount the small oval label image from the Country Home Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Blackberry Bliss Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Whisper White.
Mount the small, single word image of your choice from the Country Home Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Crushed Curry Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the stamped oval image.
Mount the fall flower arrangement with cotton tails image from the Country Home Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left side of the large piece of Country Lane Designer Series Paper so the tall cotton tail almost touches the top edge and the feathery leaf stem on the left almost touches the left edge. Set aside to let it dry a few minutes while you work on other parts of the card. Leave the stamp on the block.
Re-ink the floral arrangment stamp with the Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the white square. Set aside to let it dry a few minutes while you work on other parts of the card.
Place the stamped designer paper strip on top of some paper on your work surface (Grid Paper works great). You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Start coloring with the Stampin' Blends Markers. The markers have a brush tip for coloring in larger areas and a fine tip for coloring in smaller areas. Use the light colors first and add highlights with the darker colors. If needed to blend the colors, go over things again with the lighter colors. Work on one area at a time so the inks will be wet and will blend easier.
Use the Dark Old Olive Marker to color in the feathery leaf stems and all other stems.
Use the Dark Blackberry Bliss Marker to color in the small berries.
Do NOT bother to color in any other areas! They will be taken care of in later steps.

Use the Light and Dark Old Olive Markers to color in the artichoke.
Use the Light and Dark Blackberry Bliss Markers to color in some of the ivy leaves.
Use the Light and Dark Daffodil Delight Markers and the Light Old Olive Marker to color in the rest of the ivy leaves.
Use the Light and Dark Soft Suede Markers to color in the cat tails.
Do NOT bother to color in the feathery leaf stems, the other stems, or the small berries. You are going to be cutting them off in the next steps.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the colored cat tails only for now. Set the rest of the colored floral arrangement aside for now.
Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen or the narrow end of the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to adhere the cut out, colored cat tails on top of the cat tail images stamped on the designer paper strip.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the large part of the colored floral arrangement made up of the artichoke and ivy leaves. Cut between some of the ivy leaves on the right side to cut out the open area between the leaves where you can see a couple of stems.
Adhere the cut out, colored, large part of the floral arrangement on top of the floral arrangement image stamped on the designer paper strip.
Adhere the colored, layered strip of designer paper to the large strip of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock.
Cut a 2-1/2" piece of 3/16" Braided Linen Trim.
Lay the trim across the matted designer paper rectangle in the upper right corner. Flip the layers over and fold the ends of the trim over. Adhere the ends of the trim in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Leave the protective backings in place for now.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the bottom of the front flap of the Crushed Curry card. Make sure the adhesive is 1/4" from the edges of the cardstock and is on the TOP of the cardstock.
Remove the protective backing for the Tear & Tape Adhesive on the front flap of the card. Place the Window Sheet strip on top so it is even with the edges of the white layer on the inside of the card and just covers the Tear & Tape Adhesive on the front flap.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips on the back of the matted, colored, and layered designer paper strip and add SNAIL to the back of the Blackberry Bliss rectangle. Adhere it to the center of the front flap for the Crushed Curry card.
Lay the small strip of Crushed Curry Cardstock across the bottom of the back of the card so it is even on the bottom and side edges.
Put a strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the top of the strip of Crushed Curry. Make sure the adhesive is 1/4" from the top and side edges of the cardstock and is on the TOP of the cardstock.
Remove the protective backing for the Tear & Tape Adhesive on the small strip of Crushed Curry. Press the bottom of the Window Sheet strip to the Tear & Tape Adhesive.
You should now have a complete card front with a Window Sheet strip across the bottom that lets you see the stamped sentiment on the inside of the card.
Adhere the small strip of Country Lane Designer Series Paper to the small strip of Blackberry Bliss Cardstock.
Adhere the matted strip of designer paper to the center of the bottom Crushed Curry strip on the card front so it covers the bottom edge of the Window Sheet.
Cut out the milk jug image by hand using Paper Snips.
Put a small strip of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back of the milk jug cut out near the top and another small strip near the bottom. Do NOT put adhesive in the center of the milk jug cut out.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape strips and adhere the milk jug cut out to the front of the card so it overlaps the Window Sheet opening just to the left of the sentiment on the inside of the card and covers the bottom of the floral arrangement image stamped and layered on the top flap of the card.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the oval tag image by hand.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the oval tag cut out to the upper right corner of the card front so it looks like it is hanging from the trim in the corner.
Cut a 2-1/2" piece of 3/16" Braided Linen Trim.
Slide one end of the trim under the trim on the card front and tie it in place using a half knot. Trim the ends.
