A whole heap of nautical loveliness!
Project Recipe
Cut A4 Night of Navy cardstock in half vertically to create 2 strips - 10.5cm x 29.7cm
Trim the length of one strip to 29.2cm (11-1/2")
If using scoreboard - score at 2-7/8" and 8-5/8" - to get a Landscape Gatefold card Blank.
If using trimmer - score in at 7.3cm on each end.
Fold carefully, ensuring flaps meet in middle.
Cut DSP ...
'Rope' 2 pieces - 7cm x 10cm
'Boats' 1 piece - 10cm x 6cm
Cut cardstock...
Very Vanilla - 9cm x 13.3cm (Insert)
- 10.2cm x 6.2cm
- diecut tag shape
Crumb Cake - 10.5cm x 6.5cm
- diecut Rope
Vellum - diecut Seaweed
Soft Suede - diecut Ships Wheel
Silver Foil - diecut Anchor
Stamp desired sentiment onto Very Vanilla insert panel and diecut tag shape.
Set aside to dry.
Glue 'Boats' DSP onto Very Vanilla panel. Then attach that panel onto the Crumb Cake piece with dimensionals.
Glue the 'Rope' DSP pieces onto the front flaps of the card - taking care to line up the tops of each DSP piece across the card. (So neat when flaps are closed flat)
Adhere the insert panel inside the card.
Loop some twine through the top of the diecut anchor and trim ends.
With 2 pieces of twine make a 'Reef knot' threading on the trinket as you go. Trim ends level and set aside.
Starting with a small dot of glue on the bottom of the vellum seaweed, layer up the diecut pieces onto the bottom right corner of the layered 'boats' panel. I used dimensionals on the anchor and intertwined the rope.
Attach the panel to the front flap of the card - only 1! - Either side is fine - i chose the left side, using glue under the left half of the panel.
Finally add the sentiment/die cut tag shape, i glued mine flat overlapping the left edge of the 'boats' panel.
With a glue dot on the trinket, I adhered this to the bottom of the sentiment. The twine already attached to the trinket so i didn't require further glue.
