All mat layers that you have 2 of one is for the front and 2nd for the inside or back of the front of the card.
To make the "L" cut in order to make the "flip" open the base up and put in your trimmer up-side-down with open edge of the front of the card at the 3" mark on your cutter and make a cut down from 2 1/2" down to 4 7/8". Rotate the base so the open edge is at the top of your trimmer and the top of the card is at the 3" mark and cut from 3" up to 5/8".
With the card the correct direction push the bottom left of the cut in and up making sure the edge of the card is even to the fold of the card.
