A fun fold birthday card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut card stock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Watermelon Wonder Card Stock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2" and 8-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Card Stock
- 2-1/2" x 4" of multicolored sprinkles on white background design from Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/2" x 4" of white dots on green background design from Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 1-1/4" x 1-1/2" from Crumb Cake Card Stock
- 1-1/2" squares of Peekaboo Peach, Watermelon Wonder, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Pear Pizzazz, and Pool Party Card Stocks, you want 2 squares of each color
- scrap of Silver Foil Sheets at least 1/2" x 1-1/2"
- tiny scrap of Watermelon Wonder Card Stock
Fold the Watermelon Wonder card along the score lines so a small flap is on the top.
Mount the "I hope your birthday..." sentiment on Block H. Ink it up with the Chocolate Chip Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the center panel so it is as close to the right edge as possible.
Place the green designer paper strip across the bottom of the large rectangle WITHOUT adhering. Mount the "Happiest Birthday" sentiment on Block H. Ink it up with Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp the sentiment just above the designer paper as close to the right side as possible.
When happy with the stamping, adhere the green designer paper strip to the bottom of the stamped white rectangle.
Cut a 5" piece of Pool Party 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon. Lay the ribbon across the white/designer paper rectangle so it covers the seam between the two papers. Flip the rectangle over and fold the ends of the ribbons over. Adhere them in place with pieces of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ends.
Adhere the white/designer paper rectangle to the large bottom piece of the card.
Adhere the rectangle of sprinkles designer paper to the top flap of the card.
Pick out the cake cone framelit from the Frozen Treats Framelits. Place the larger Crumb Cake rectangle on the Cutting Pad on top of your Big Shot Platform on your Big Shot. Place the cake cone framelit on top. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Fold the card shut. Adhere the cake cone cut out on top of the ribbon on the left side of the sentiment so the top of the cone is right along the bottom edge of the top fold.
Pick out the ice cream scoop framelit from the Frozen Treats Framelits. One at a time, place the different card stock squares on the Cutting Pad on top of your Big Shot Platform on your Big Shot. Place the ice cream scoop framelit on top. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Mount the set of little dots image on Block A. Ink it up with the Chocolate Chip Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly on the Pear Pizzazz ice cream scoops. Stamp some without re-inking but remember to re-ink most times.
Mount the set of three sprinkles image on Block A. Ink it up with the Chocolate Chip Ink Pad. Stamp it repeatedly on one of the Watermelon Wonder and one of the Crumb Cake ice cream scoops. Remember to re-ink each time.
Mount the wider melting sauce image on Block B. Ink it up wit the Chocolate Chip Ink Pad. Stamp it on top of the other Crumb Cake ice cream scoop.
Mount the soft serve ice cream swirls image on Block B. Ink it up with the Peekaboo Peach Ink Pad. Stamp it on one of the Peekaboo Peach ice cream scoops. Re-ink the stamp again and stamp it on one of the white ice cream scoops. Stamp the image again slightly off set without re-inking.
Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to paint over the melting fudge on top of the one ice cream scoop.
One at a time, adhere the ice cream scoops on top of the cone. Try to make sure the white scoops are the ones on the folds as the white card stock is thinner and will fold easier. Make sure the Crumb Cake scoop with the melting chocolate on top is on the top of the stack. Make sure the scoop on the bottom of the top flat looks like it is on top of the cone when the card is folded shut.
Pick out the tiny cherry framelit from the Frozen Treats Framelits. Place the scrap of Watermelon Wonder Card stock on the Cutting Pad on top of your Big Shot Platform on your Big Shot. Place the cherry framelit on top. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Use the Chocolate Chip Marker to color the stem of the cherry.
Adhere the cherry to the top of the ice cream scoop stack using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Pick out the spoon framelit from the Frozen Treats Framelits. Place the scrap of Silver Foil Sheet on the Cutting Pad on top of your Big Shot Platform on your Big Shot. Place the spoon framelit on top. Place the other Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Adhere the spoon to the right side of the top flap using the Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Cut a 4" piece of the Pool Party 3/8" Stitched Satin Ribbon. Tie a half knot in the center. Trim the ends. Adhere to the ribbon already on the card near the bottom right of the cone using a Mini Glue Dot.
