S imple, fun Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Crumb Cake Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Lovely Lipstick Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Whisper White Cardstock
- scrap of Whisper White Cardstock at least 3" long
- pieces of scratch paper
As you are ready to stamp on cardstock pieces using the Cookie Cutter Christmas Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Be sure to put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the mat to protect it from ink.
Place strips of scratch paper across the top and bottom of the large white rectangle so they cover the top 1-1/8" and the bottom 2-1/8".
Mount the gingerbread man stamp from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Crumb Cake Ink Pad. Stamp it randomly into the open space exposed between the two pieces of copy paper. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. Let some of the images go off the edges of the cardstock and onto the edges of the copy paper. Rotate the stamp in different directions as well. Leave the stamp on the block for use in a later step.
Remove the pieces of scratch paper.
Mount one of the skinnier sentiments from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it on the right side of the card just under the line of stamped gingerbread men.
Adhere the stamped white layer to the Lovely Lipstick rectangle and then to the front of the Crumb Cake card.
Re-ink the gingerbread man stamp with Crumb Cake Ink. Stamp it on the small piece of white cardstock so the feet are near the bottom of the piece.
Unlock the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch. Holding the punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped gingerbread man into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch. Leave the punch unlocked for use on a later step.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the punched out gingerbread man to the front of the card at a slight angle just to the left of the sentiment. Let the head overlap the line of stamped gingerbread men.
Mount the solid bow tie image from the Cookie Cutter Christmas Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Lovely Lipstick Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of white cardstock.
Holding the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch upside down so you can see the punching area, slide the stamped bow tie into the punch and get it centered in the corresponding punching area. Punch.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the bow tie to the neck of the punched out gingerbread man.
Carefully peel up 3 rhinestones from a sheet of Red Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them randomly to the card front.
