Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Bumblebee Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- 3/4" x 4" of faint grid on yellow design from World Of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Cinnamon Cider Cardstock
- small scrap of Bumblebee Cardstock
Mount the thread circle image from the Comfort & Hope Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it twice on the left side of the large Cinnamon Cider rectangle so the circles overlap a bit. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time. The top of the upper circle should be about 1-1/4" from the top edge and the left edge should be about 1/4" from the left edge. The bottom edge of the bottom circle should be about 3/4" from the bottom edge and the left edge should be about 1" from the left edge.
Adhere the stamped Cinnamon Cider rectangle to the front of the Bumblebee card.
Use Paper Snips to cut sharp angles on the ends of the World Of Good Designer Paper strip.
Adhere the designer paper strip to the front of the card at a slight angle so it covers the area where the two circles overlap.
Cut a 4" piece of the Early Espresso 1/4" Faux Suede Trim so it has sharp angles on the ends.
Lay the piece of ribbon across the strip of designer paper so it is centered and the sharp angles go the opposite direction from the angles on the designer paper. Use a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the ribbon to hold it in place. Make sure the adhesive will be hidden by the main image circle later. Leave the protective backing on the adhesive piece.
Cut a 4" piece of the Bumblebee 1/4" Gingham Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Use a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the folded top of the ribbon where it will be hidden by the main image circle in a later step. The left edge of the ribbon should be about 1" from the left edge of the card. Trim the loose ends at sharp angles so they are just above the bottom of the Cinnamon Cider layer. Leave the protective backing on the adhesive piece.
Carefully punch two leafy stem pieces from a sheet of In Good Taste Elements.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the leafy stem pieces to the front of the card so they will stick out from behind the main image circle on the upper right and lower left sides as shown.
Mount the wheat stalk image from the Comfort & Hope Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Cinnamon Cider Ink Pad. Stamp it on the small rectangle of Cinnamon Cider so there is room to punch it out and have the wheat stalk be on the left side of the circle.
Unlock the 2" Circle Punch. Hold it upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped wheat stalk into the punch and get it centered in the punching area on the left side of the circle. Punch.
Mount the "For You" sentiment from the A Wish For Everything Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Early Espresso Ink Pad. Stamp it on the scrap of Bumblebee Cardstock.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the sentiment in a strip.
Adhere the sentiment strip to the bottom of the stamped wheat circle punch out so the left edge of the sentiment strip is even with the stem at the bottom of the wheat image.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the wheat image circle with sentiment strip attached to the front of the card so it covers the ends of the leafy stem elements and the adhesives holding the ribbons in place. The sentiment strip should be in line with the diagonal piece of designer paper.
Carefully punch 3 out three little heptagon shapes from a sheet of In Good Taste Elements.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere one of the heptagon shapes to the upper left corner of the sentiment strip on the main image circle.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the other two heptagon shapes to the front of the card as shown.
