A Simple Reflections Card.
Cut all the cardstock to size unless you have order one of my kits.
All measurements are in inches.
Card = 5" x 5"
Colour Panel = 4.7/8" x 4.7/8"
Front Picture Panel = 4.1/2" x 4.3/4"
From the Green Panel Punch out the 2 inch circle using the 2 inch circle punch.
From a scrap of Whisper white card stock punch out 1 circle using the 1.3/4" circle punch.
If you want the scalloped finish, now is the time to run the Old Olive through the Big Shot machine with the Edgelits Finishing Touches Dye.
(Feel free to use another dye that you feel may suit more your creative taste)
Time to Stamp...
Stamp the main image at the piece of the cardstock as per normal.
Have a piece of acetate ready, Re-Ink your stamp and now stamp onto the acetate.
Turn the image over so the stamped image is now facing down towards the cardstock.
carefully place the image where it looks like a reflection toward the bottom of the card stock.
Hold the acetate firmly and gently press down on the image to transfer the image onto the cardstock.
Stamp your chosen sentiment on the 1.3/4" Circle punch.
If you wish to round your left hand corners on your card, now is the time to use the corner punch and round the top corners on all 3 layers of cardstock.
Inking the picture give it a soft look so i used 3 different inks in this picture to give it a soft reflective look.
Using the sponge daubers dabbed in the chosen ink pad i started off the cardstock in small circles gently working onto the cardstock and across the page.
Start lightly and gradually add more colour as you go until you are happy with the picture.
Once happy with the picture find an embossing folder and run the sheet of cardstock in the embossing folder through the Big Shot.
Time to layer the card together.
Using your choice of sticky medium (my personal favourite for projects with very little room around the edges is the Tombow Glue)
Layering the sentiment panels together.
The white sentiment piece has been Tombow glued directly to the front of the Old Olive piece then Tombow glued in place.
