I sn't this just gorgeous!? I originally found something similar on Pinterest that used the cat punch and halloween DSP. I didn't have the Cat Punch or the DSP so I made a new design using the leaves out of the Colorful Seasons Stamp Set and used the baby wipe technique. It turned out beautiful. So beautiful that I decided to use the Colorful Seasons stamp set again only using the snowflakes this time and I didn't use the Baby Wipe Technique this time either.
Project Recipe
Cardstock Dimensions:
Night of Navy CS: (1) 4-1/4" x 11"
- scored at 4" & 8" on the long side
Soft Sky CS: (1) 4" x 3-3/4" & (1) 4" x 1"
Whisper White CS: (1) 3-3/4 x 3-1/2"
and (1) 3-3/4" x 3/4"
Vellum CS: (1) 2-1/4" x 2-1/4"
Fold CS on score lines. You will now have a tent like structure that will allow you to place a battery operated tealight inside after project is completed.
On large piece of Whisper White CS stamp largest snowflake from the Colorful Seasons stamp set randomly using the Night of Navy stamp pad. Clean off stamp and re-ink using Soft Sky stamp pad. Stamp this snowflake randomly to fill in CS.
Using Wink of Stella Glitter pen color in your snow flakes. This will spread the color a little and give your snowflakes sparkle and shine.
Using the largest snowflake framelit from the Seasonal Layers Thinlets cut out a snowflake from the lower corner of your stamped CS. You will use the Big Shot to do this. Remove die cut piece from white CS.
Lay Whisper White CS over Soft Sky CS and fit framelit into cut out space. Run this through the big shot. Remove cut out image. Repeat this process by laying the Soft Sky CS onto the larger flap of Night of Navy CS, fit framelit into place and run this through the big shot too.
Adhere the Soft Sky CS to the Night of Navy CS using adhesive of your choice. Adhere small square of vellum to Soft Sky CS over cut out section. Adhere Whisper White CS to Soft Sky CS. Use glue pen or adhesive sheets to glue the Night of Navy snowflake into place.
Stamp sentiment onto strip of white CS. I stamped a small flower from the Delightful Daisy set just to give it a little more something. I didn't have a tiny snowflake to use so I improvised. Adhere sentiment to Soft Sky CS using Stampin' Dimensionals. Adhere Soft Sky Strip to bottom flap using Stampin' Dimensionals. This will hold your card in place. Tie a bow at top of card using Night of Navy seam binding ribbon. Insert battery operated tealight into your "tent" and voila!
