P retty card perfect for lots of occasions using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Pumpkin Pie Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Calypso Coral Cardstock
- 3-3/4" x 5" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4-1/2" from Basic White Cardstock
Mount the "you're the best kind of person" sentiment from the Citrus Blooms Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Pumpkin Pie Ink Pad. Stamp it in the lower right corner of the vertical 3-3/4" x 5" white rectangle so it is about 3/8" from the bottom and right edges.
Adhere the stamped white rectangle to the center of the Calypso Coral rectangle.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of the gold ribbon from the Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack.
Lay the ribbon across the matted, stamped rectangle so it is diagonal across the upper left corner about 1" from the corner. Fold the ends of the ribbon over and secure the ribbon in place on the back with strips of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backings from the Tear & Tape pieces and add Stampin' Seal to the back of the Calypso Coral rectangle. Adhere the rectangle to the front of the Pumpkin Pie card.
Mount the large group of three oranges with leaves and flowers image from the Citrus Blooms Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Tuxedo Black Memento Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the remaining white rectangle.
Pick out the matching set of three oranges with leaves and flowers die from the Citrus Blooms Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine
Tip: I find it better to cut out images before coloring them in. That way if the die slips as you are cutting you haven't wasted time and ink on the image.
Place the group of oranges cut out on some Grid Paper to protect your work surface. You need to make sure that you protect your work surface with paper as the Stampin' Blends Markers do bleed through.
Use the Light and Dark Cajun Craze Stampin' Blends to add color along the edges of the oranges and anywhere there are shadow marks on the image.
Use the Dark and Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin' Blends to color most of the rest of the oranges.
Use the Light and Dark Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to color in the remaining bits of the oranges and to blend everything together.
Use the Light Calypso Coral Stampin' Blends to color in the centers of the flowers and lightly outline the lines on the flowers and buds.
Use the Light and Dark Lemon Lolly Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the flowers and buds.
Use the Dark Crumb Cake Stampin' Blends to color in the stems.
Use the Light and Dark Shaded Spruce Stampin' Blends to highlight the veins in the leaves.
Use the Light and Dark Old Olive Stampin' Blends to color in the rest of the leaves and blend everything together.
Use the Color Lifter as needed to remove excess color.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the colored group of oranges cut out to the front of the card as shown so the stem hangs down from near the center of the ribbon. Make sure none of the cut out goes over the edges of the card front.
Cut a 9" piece of the gold ribbon from the Gold & Silver 1/8" Trim Combo Pack.
Tie a small bow in the center of the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the ribbon bow to the front of the card so it is at an angle and is centered over the center of the ribbon already on the card front as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 1 large and 2 small Daffodil Delight opal rounds from a sheet of Opal Rounds Assortment making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown around the sentiment and at the bottom of the card.
