E legant Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 3-1/4" square from Mossy Meadow Cardstock
- 3-1/2" x 4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Lightly spritz the large 4" x 5-1/4" white rectangle with water and insert into the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder so the diamonds will run vertically across the vertical rectangle. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Mount the large roses and greenery outline image that is cling from the Christmas Rose Set on Block F. Ink it up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 3-1/2" x 4" white rectangle. Don't worry if the edges of the image go off the edge.
As you are ready to stamp using the portions of the Christmas Rose Set that are photopolymer, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp. Put a piece of Grid Paper on top of the Mat to protect it from ink.
Mount the solid, double rose image that is photopolymer from the Christmas Rose Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped roses and greenery image so it will fill in the roses.
One at a time, mount the various solid berries images that are photopolymer from the Christmas Rose Set on Blocks A or B. Ink them up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp them over the top of the previously stamped roses and greenery image so it will fill in the holly berries.
One at a time, mount the solid leaves and pine needles images that are photopolymer from the Christmas Rose Set on Blocks C or D. Ink them up with the Mossy Meadow Ink Pad. Stamp them over the top of the previously stamped roses and greenery image so they will fill in the leaves and pine needles.
Mount the solid pinecone image that is photopolymer from the Christmas Rose Set on Block A. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped roses and greenery image so it will fill in the pinecones. Remember to re-ink the stamp each time.
Pick out the smooth circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a smooth circle that is 2-7/8" diameter. Put it on top of the stamped roses and greenery image on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so it is centered over the roses. Run through the tool.
Pick out the scalloped circle die from the Layering Circles Dies that cuts out a scalloped circle that is 3-1/8" diameter. Put it on top of the Mossy Meadow square on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Adhere the roses and greenery circle cut out to the center of the Mossy Meadow scalloped circle cut out.
Mount the "May this Christmas fill your heart..." sentiment that is photopolymer from the Christmas Rose Set on Block B. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the 1-3/4" x 3-1/4" white strip in the center. Leave room to punch the sentiment out.
Unlock the 1-1/2" Circle Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch, get it centered in the punching area, and punch. You will cut off some of the ends of the letters in the word "Christmas."
If the dry embossed white rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the front of the Cherry Cobbler card.
Cut a 10" piece of the Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Trim the loose ends at angles.
Lay the folded ribbon on the card front so the loop is about 1/2" from the top of the card and about 5/8" from the left edge of the card. The loose ends should be angled down towards the bottom right. Secure the ribbon in place with a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive about half way down.
Use SNAIL Adhesive on the back of the matted roses and greenery circle cut out and the Tear & Tape holding the ribbon in place to adhere the matted circles to the front of the card so they cover the Tear & Tape and are about 3/4" from the top and about 5/8" from the sides.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the sentiment circle punch out to the card front so it overlaps the lower right side of the matted circle cut out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up 3 different sized dots from a sheet of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots being sure to get the adhesives as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown.
