E legant Christmas card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer and Paper Snips:
- card from Cherry Cobbler Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 2" x 5-1/4" of gold diamonds on red background design from Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper, cut so the diamonds are vertical on the vertical strip
- 2-1/2" x 3-1/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
- small rose and leaves hand cut from small roses and leaves on white background design from Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper
Lightly spritz the large white rectangle with water and insert into the Tufted 3D Embossing Folder so the diamonds will run vertically across the vertical rectangle. Place the folder with the paper inside on your die cutting and embossing tool and run through the machine. Set aside to dry.
Unlock the Banner Triple Punch. Slide one short edge of the strip of Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Paper into the punch as far as it will go. Punch.
As you are ready to stamp using the Christmas Rose Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from the Christmas Rose Photopolymer Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Cherry Cobbler Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the smaller white strip in the center. Leave room to punch the sentiment out.
Unlock the 2-1/4" Circle Punch. Hold the punch upside down so you can see the punching area. Slide the stamped sentiment into the punch, get it centered in the punching area, and punch.
If the dry embossed white rectangle is dry, proceed with the next step.
Tip: You can speed up drying with a Heat Tool if needed.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the front of the Cherry Cobbler card.
Adhere the punched designer paper banner to the front of the card so it is centered.
Cut a 9" piece of the Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon.
Fold the ribbon in half. Trim the loose ends at angles.
Lay the folded ribbon on the card front so the loop just sticks out to the upper left side of the designer paper banner punch out and the top of the ribbon is about 1/2" from the top of the card. The loose ends should be angled across the center of the designer paper banner punch out. Secure the ribbon in place with a small piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive about 1-1/2" down from the loop.
Use SNAIL Adhesive on the back of the sentiment circle punch out and the Tear & Tape holding the ribbon in place to adhere the sentiment circle to the front of the card so it is centered side to side over the designer paper banner punch out and about 1/2" from the top of the card. Make sure all of the Tear & Tape is covered and that the sentiment is straight.
If you haven't already done so, use Paper Snips to cut out a small rose and leaves from a sheet of Christmastime Is Here Specialty Designer Series Paper.
Adhere the rose and leaves cut out to the front of the card using Mini Stampin' Dimensionals so it overlaps the lower right side of the sentiment circle punch out and the right edge of the banner punch out.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick tool to pick up 3 different sized dots from a sheet of Gold Glitter Enamel Dots being sure to get the adhesives as well. Adhere them to the card front as shown.
