S imple, pretty Christmas gift tags made with Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- 2" x 3" from Garden Green Cardstock
- 2" x 3" from Mint Macaron Cardstock
- 1" x 2" from Crumb Cake Cardstock
As you are ready to stamp using the Christmas Rose Photopolymer Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Mount the "Merry Christmas" sentiment from the Christmas Rose Set on Block D. Ink it up with the Garden Green Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Mint Macaron rectangle.
Pick out the smooth oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies that cuts out a smooth oval that is 1-9/16" wide. Put it on top of the stamped sentiment on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool so the sentiment is centered. Run through the tool.
Pick out the scalloped oval die from the Layering Ovals Dies that cuts out a scalloped oval that is 1-3/4" wide. Put it on top of the Garden Green rectangle on a platform on your cutting and embossing tool. Run through the tool.
Adhere the sentiment oval cut out to the scalloped oval cut out.
Mount the small pinecone image on Block A. Ink it up with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the Crumb Cake strip. Re-ink the stamp with the Soft Suede Ink Pad. Stamp it on the other end of the Crumb Cake strip.
Use Paper Snips to cut out the pinecones by hand.
Adhere one of the pinecones to the front of the tag in the upper right corner using SNAIL so it points up.
Use a Mini Stampin' Dimensional to adhere the other pinecone to the front of the tag so it points up and overlaps the other pinecone just a bit.
Cut a 3-1/2" piece of Real Red 3/8" Cotton Ribbon.
Tie a half knot in the ribbon. Trim the ends.
Use a Mini Glue Dot to adhere the knotted ribbon to the front of the tag at a slight angle at the bottom of the pinecones.
Slide the center of the left end of the tag into the side of the Detailed Trio Punch that punches a ribbon slot. Make sure the tag is centered. Press down firmly on the center of the punch to punch.
Cut a 7" piece of Garden Green 3/8" Double-Stitched Ribbon.
Slide the Garden Green ribbon through the top of the tag and get it even. Holding the two loose ends together, loop the ribbon together into a half knot. Trim the ends.
