T his is a fast and cute gift card holder. It is inspired by one from Sue Mohr. The band keeps it closed. I hope you try one yourself.
Project Recipe
Cut your Real Red card stock to 7 3/4" x 5" and another piece 7 3/4" x 1". The second piece will be your band to go around your gift card holder.
Score the large piece at 6" and 2 1/2".
Score the band at 6 1/8" x 2 1/2".
Cut a 3" x 3" of Whisper White card stock. You will stamp the sentiment on this piece and then cut it out with the 2" circle punch.
Cut a 3" x 3" of Shaded Spruce card stock. You will use the Starburst punch to cut out a circle.
Cut a 9" long piece of gold mini sequin trim.
Next you will cut your Designer Series Paper (DSP). You will need one piece 4 3/4" x 2 1/4" that will go on the bottom on the front.
Then cut a piece 4 3/4" x 1 1/2" that will go on the top on the front.
Finally cut a piece of whisper white card stock 4 3/4" x 1 1/2" to go inside for a greeting.
Adhere the DSP to the top and bottom of the card holder.
Use the 1 1/4" circle punch to create a notch in the bottom portion of the card holder.
Turn the card stock over and adhere the Whipser White card stock to the top portion.
Apply Tear & Tape to the outer edges of the bottom section as shown in the picture.
Fold the bottom flap up to make your pocket for the gift card.
Fold the band along the score lines and adhere it closed.
Attach the sequin trim behind the white circle with mini glue dots. Add Stampin' Dimensionals to the circle and attach to the Shaded spruce circle. Attach these to the band and slide it over your gift card holder.
