T his card is so fun, I made it for a friend who loves her chickens.
Card Base: Cut Bermuda Bay 8 ½ X 11 paper in half widthwise. You now have two pieces 8 ½ X 5 ½ . Fold one of the pieces in half lengthwise for your card front. The card front now measures 4 ¼ X 5 ½.
Card Mat: Cut Basic White 4 X 5 1/4
Card Front: Cut Bermuda Bay 6X6 Designer Series paper 3 7/8 X 5 ⅛.
Cut Basic White 2 ½ X 5 ⅛, stamp this piece with Crumb Cake ink using the All Wired Up stamp. Attach the stamped white piece to the Bermuda Bay card front ½ inch from top of Bermuda Bay card front. Attach card front to Bermuda Bay card base.
Choose 3 shades of yellow from the 6X6 Designer Series paper, I choose Mango Melody, Daffodil Delight, and Bumblebee. Stamp dancing chick from Birthday Chick on each of the yellow pieces with black ink. Die cut each chick using the die from the Birthday Chick dies. Attach the three chicks to the stamped white center with dimensionals.
Cut Basic White ½ X 3. Stamp Happy Birthday from Birthday Chicks stamp set with Bermuda Bay ink in the center of the white strip. Punch each end with the Banners Pick a Punch. Attach stamped white banner with dimensionals to the card front.
That’s it; you have finished your card front. For the inside of your card, cut a piece of Whisper White 4 X 5 ¼. Stamp a sentiment or write a note before attaching this piece inside your card.
I stamped the dancing chick on my envelope with Bermuda Bay ink.
