P retty card with a peekaboo window using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and designer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Emerald Envy Cardstock at 4-1/4" x 11" and scored at 5-1/2", this is a side opening card
- 4" x 5-1/4" of white leaf stems on black background design from Petal Passion Designer Series Paper
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Whisper White Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from Whisper White Cardstock
Make sure you have some Grid Paper on your work surface to protect it from ink. Place the piece of Petal Passion Designer Series Paper in the center of the Grid Paper.
Cut a Stamping Sponge into quarters so you have more sponges to work with. Rub the rounded side of the sponge quarter across the open Emerald Envy Ink Pad to get it inky. Then, rub it onto the piece of designer paper. Get more ink on the sponge as needed. Keep adding ink until you have the color saturation you want.
Tip: I just clean my sponges when I'm done using them by running them under water until no more color is coming off. Then, I let them air dry. They may be stained, but they are clean enough to use with any color of ink in the future.
Adhere the colored designer paper to the front of the Emerald Envy card.
Pick out the large, open, roughly oval framelit from the Cafe Builder Framelits. Place the open card front on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the large, open framelit on top so it is centered top to bottom on the designer paper and about 1/2" in from the right side of the designer paper. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Keep the cut out piece if you wish to use on a future card.
WITHOUT adhering, place the large white rectangle on the inside of the card. Close the front of the card.
Mount the "Life is better with you in it" sentiment from the Charming Cafe Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on the white cardstock inside the card by stamping through the window on the front of the card. Stamp it near the bottom of the window so it is centered side to side.
When you are happy with the stamping of the sentiment, adhere the white layer to the inside of the card.
Mount the table and chairs image on Block C. Ink it up with the Basic Black Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the small white rectangle.
Pick out the tables and chairs framelit from the Cafe Builder Framelits. Place the stamped cafe chairs and table image on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the table and chairs framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot. Use the Die Brush if needed to remove the pieces.
Use the Emerald Envy and Daffodil Delight Markers to color in the seat cushions, coffee cups, leaves, flower, and stripe on the vase.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the table and chairs cut out to the inside of the card by adhering through the window. Make sure they are centered side to side in the window and just above the sentiment.
Cut a 9" piece of Emerald Envy 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon.
Tie the ribbon in a bow. Trim the ends. Adhere the bow to the card front near the upper left side of the window cut out using a Mini Glue Dot.
Carefully remove 4 large rhinestones from a sheet of Rhinestone Basic Jewels making sure you get the adhesive as well as the rhinestones. Adhere them randomly to the card front.
Pick out a flower from the Petal Passion Embellishments. Put a Mini Glue Dot on the back of the flower and adhere it to the lower right side of the window cut out on the card front.
