P retty friendship card using Stampin' Up! products.
Project Recipe
Cut cardstock pieces to the following sizes using a Stampin' Trimmer:
- card from Emerald Envy Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 2-7/8" x 3-7/8" from Cajun Craze Cardstock
- 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
- 1" x 3" from Very Vanilla Cardstock
Fold the Emerald Envy card in half. Place the folded card on top of the Grid Paper so you can stamp off the left edge a bit and still protect your work surface.
Mount the "I am lucky to have a friend like you" sentiment from the Charming Cafe Set on Block C. Ink it up with the Emerald Envy Ink Pad. Stamp it on the left edge of the card front so it goes off the edge a bit and is about 1/2" from the top. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again just under and slightly to the right of the first sentiment. Re-ink it one more time and stamp it just below and slightly to the left of the second sentiment.
Mount the window with awning image on Block D. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 2-3/4" x 3-3/4" vanilla rectangle as close to the top as you can.
Mount the table and chairs image on Block D. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 1-3/4" x 2-3/4" vanilla rectangle.
Mount the topiary image on Block B. Ink it up with the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad. Stamp it on one end of the 1" x 3" vanilla strip. Re-ink the stamp and stamp it again on the other end of the strip. Make sure to leave room between the images so you have room to cut them out with the framelits.
Pick out the tables and chairs framelit from the Cafe Builder Framelits. Place the stamped cafe chairs and table image on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the table and chairs framelit on top so it is centered over the stamped image. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Pick out two of the topiary framelits from the Cafe Builder Framelits. Place the stamped topiary images on a Cutting Pad on top of the Magnetic Platform on the Big Shot. Place the topiary framelits on top so they are centered over the stamped images. Place another Cutting Pad on top and run through the Big Shot.
Squeeze the lid of the Emerald Envy Ink Pad to get a pool of ink in the lid. Open the pad but leave the lid exposed. Use a Blender Pen to pick up some ink from the puddle in the lid and color in the large stripes on the awning over the window, the bush parts of the topiaries, the seat cushions on the chairs, and the foliage in the vase on the table. Pick up more ink from the pad lid as needed. Remember to stroke the Blender Pen in one direction only. If you go back and forth, then the card stock could start to pill and tear. Scribble on Grid Paper to clean the tip of the Blender Pen until no more color is coming off.
Repeat the step above using the Cajun Craze Ink Pad to color in the bricks around the window, the topiary pots, the bricks under the table and chairs, the stripe on the vase, and the flower in the vase. Don't forget to clean the Blender Pen when done.
Repeat the step above using the Basic Gray Archival Ink Pad to color in the window frame if desired. Don't forget to clean the Blender Pen when done.
Use the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush to color in the panes of the window and make them sparkle.
Use Mini Glue Dots to adhere the topiaries on either side of the window image.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the table and chairs so they overlap the bottom of the window a bit.
Adhere the vanilla rectangle to the center of the Cajun Craze rectangle.
Cut a 4" piece of Emerald Envy 5/8" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon so one end has a downward angle.
Put a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive across the bottom of the rectangle so it is about 5/8" up from the bottom and stops before the right edge. Lay the ribbon across the Tear & Tape Adhesive so the angled end is on the right and the left edge sticks off the left side of the cardstock. Flip the rectangle over and fold the left end of the ribbon over. Adhere the end of the ribbon in place with a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive. Do NOT remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape.
Cut a 4" piece of Very Vanilla 1/2" Lace Trim.
Lay the lace trim across the bottom of the ribbon so the angled end is on the right and the left edge sticks off the left side of the cardstock and the bottom of the lace trim is just below the bottom of the ribbon. Secure the right end in place with a Mini Glue Dot. Flip the rectangle over and fold the left end of the lace trim over. Adhere the end of the ribbon in place with a piece of Tear & Tape Adhesive.
Remove the protective backing from the Tear & Tape strips and add more SNAIL to the back of the cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the card on the right side.
