T
he Gold Mercury Vellum from SU! is beautiful on its own. But it really pops when you add a little color to it!
Jeanie Stark inspired this card. I changed out one of the layers from Gold Foil to Wild Wheat and changed the placement of my bow.
This also uses a retired embossing folder, you can substitute with a folder of your choice if you don't have the one I used.

Instructions:
Score and burnish card base.
Take the 4 x 2 3/4 piece of Very Vanilla and die-cut it with the rectangle deckle die. Layer this onto the 4 x 2 3/4 piece of Wild Wheat.
Take the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing folder and coordinating die. Line the die up inside the folder. Place the 6 x 6 Gold Mercury Vellum so that the pattern side faces the die's cutting edge. We are only using the large leaf die-cut. Save the remaining pieces for a future project.
Take your ink colors and sponge daubers and apply ink to the front of the leaf die-cut. Use gentle pressure when coloring, the vellum is fragile and will bend or tear easily.
Stamp your sentiment of choice on the 2 1/2 x 1/2 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
Mount the Wild Wheat layer to the card front with dimensionals.
Mount the vellum leaf to the Very Vanilla layer using dimensionals.
Attach the sentiment strip using mini dimensionals.
Tie a bow with the gold ribbon and attach it to the sentiment strip using a glue dot.
Apply the Gold embellishments.
Stamp your sentiment using Old Olive ink on the 5 1/2 x 4 piece of Very Vanilla.
Stamp the leave image twice using Old Olive, once full strength and again (without re-inking), turning the image slightly.
Attach the layer to the inside.
Stamp the same leave image twice on the lower left-hand side of your envelope.
You are done!
