Project Recipe
Dimensions:
Misty Moonlight: 8 1/2" x 5 1/2" & 2 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White: 5 1/4" x 4"
Flowers for Every Season DSP: 1 1/2" x 5 1/4"
Whisper White: Stitched So Sweetly Die
Just Jade: Leaves
So Saffron: Background Sunflower Die
Bumblebee: Foreground Sunflower Die
Soft Suede: Middle Sunflower
Front of Card:
Emboss the small piece of Misty Moonlight with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder. Adhere this piece along with the strip of Flowers for Every Season DSP to the front of the card.
Cut out the large die from the Stitched So Sweetly set and stamp the sentiment in Memento Black ink. (I chose to make a Happy Birthday card, but this would be a great card for many different occasions). Adhere this piece to front of the card.
Cut out the following pieces for the Sunflower from the die set:
Background: So Saffron
Foreground: Bumblebee
Middle: Soft Suede
When putting the Sunflower together, I found that using adhesive mostly in the middle and then just here and there around the thin pieces. It wont take a lot to keep it in place. To line the two pieces up, there are a few odd petals that once you find, make it easy to line up. Once this is put together, adhere to the front of the card with Dimensionals.
This stamp/die set comes with some great leaves, but in interest of time, I chose to use one of my favorite punches: the leaf punch. Punch out three leaves in Just Jade and adhere underneath the flower.
Finish the card with an enamel dot.
Inside of Card:
The front of the card had a lot of pieces, so I kept the inside simple by adding a strip of the coordinating Flowers for Every Season DSP and left plenty of space for a nice birthday note.
Envelope:
Stamp as shown or desired.
