Project Recipe
Cut cardstock and shimmer paper pieces to the following sizes using a Paper Trimmer:
- card from Highland Heather Cardstock at 5-1/2" x 8-1/2" and scored at 4-1/4"
- 4" x 5-1/4" from Pretty Peacock Cardstock
- 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" from Basic White Cardstock
- 3" x 3-1/4" from Basic White Cardstock
- 1-1/2" x 3-1/2" from Highland Heather Cardstock
- 3/4" x 6-1/2" of Pretty Peacock paper from Soft Shimmer 12" x 12" Paper Combo Pack
Insert the 3-7/8" x 5-1/8" white rectangle into the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder so the lines of music will run horizontally across the vertical rectangle. Place the folder with the cardstock inside on the platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine and run through the machine.
Adhere the dry embossed white rectangle to the center of the Pretty Peacock cardstock rectangle and then to the front of the Highland Heather card.
Pick out the long, skinny pole with ball on top die and the small base die from the Carousel Horses Dies. Put them on top of the Pretty Peacock shimmer paper strip on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Make sure the dies do NOT overlap. Run through the machine.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the shimmer paper base cut out to the front of the card so it is centered side to side and is just above the bottom of the white, dry embossed layer.
Use Multipurpose Liquid Glue or Fine-Tip Glue Pen to adhere the shimmer paper pole with ball cut out to the front of the card so the ball is on the top, it is centered side to side, and the flat base of the pole is tucked under the shimmer paper base cut out just a tiny bit. The top of the pole should be about 1-1/8" from the top of the card.
As you are ready to stamp using the Carousel Horses Set, place the cardstock on the Stampin' Pierce Mat. Using the mat will help you get a cleaner image each time you stamp.
Lay the large banner image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block H to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the Highland Heather strip.
Mount the short sentiment of choice from the Carousel Horses Set on Block G. Ink it up with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the stamped banner image.
Pick out the open banner die from the Carousel Horses Dies. Put it on top of the stamped banner image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the banner cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the top of the pole.
Lay the large horse without a pole image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block D to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Night Of Navy Ink Pad. Stamp it in the center of the 3" x 3-1/4" white rectangle.
Lay the connected, large mane and tail image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block H to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Pretty Peacock Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped horse image so the tail and mane are lined up inside the stamped outlines.
Lay the large saddle and decorative tack image from the Carousel Horses Set stamping side down on your work surface. Press Block B to it to mount the stamp. Ink up the stamp with the Highland Heather Ink Pad. Stamp it over the top of the previously stamped horse image so the saddle and girth are lined up inside the stamped outlines.
Pick out the matching, large, open horse without a pole die from the Carousel Horses Dies. Put it on top of the stamped image on a platform on your Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine so it is centered over the image. Run through the machine.
Use Stampin' Dimensionals and Mini Stampin' Dimensionals to adhere the horse cut out to the front of the card so it is centered over the pole as shown.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up 2 different sizes of Pretty Peacock gems from the sheet of Tinsel Gems Four-Pack making sure that you get the adhesive backings as well. Adhere them to the front of the card as shown around the horse image.
Squish up a Mini Glue Dot and put it on the top of the shimmer paper pole cut out so it is centered inside the ball at the top of the pole.
Use the mini spatula on the Take Your Pick to carefully peel up a large Blueberry Bushel gem from the sheet of Tinsel Gems Four-Pack making sure that you get the adhesive backing as well. Adhere it to the squished Mini Glue Dot at the top of the pole.
Note: You will need the extra stickiness of the glue dot to hold this gem in place as adhesives don't stick well to the shimmer paper.
